I'm having my car painted and don't want the paint guys to bend or break anything. On the hatch/trunk, I need to take off the plastic cover that says pontiac, it's the plastic piece that also goes around the key lock. What is the best way to remove this piece? Thanks!

I believe you have to remove the panel on the inside of the door to access the bolts(?) that hold it on. I'm others will be able to verify this.

I seen the small panel on the inside that looks like it would be an access panel, but before I tore into it, I thought I'd seek some knowledgable advice.KHARMAN,
http://www.1daypaint.com/They are charging me $648.00. It includes painting the door/hatch jams, and under the hood. They're also patching a hole, so $55 of the $648 is for the hole.Going from Red to a Pewter/Dark Grey.

Umm....why not just have them paint over that panel too? Any vibe with the monotone package comes with that piece painted, so if you are getting a repaint get that done too. Why waste time and risk damaging your car bro?
