unfortunately my stock studs are to short for my quater inch spacers(5 1/2 turns on nut) i was looking in the chiltons manual for my old car and the stud removal tool was a c clamp with a hole in the bottom arm. i could make a tool like that seeing as how wheels tires mounting balancing spacers(custom machined hubcentric), lugnuts etc. have took most of my cash. anyway i know the vibe may be different but it looks pretty simple to remove rear hubs without removing all the brake stuff.my quetions is ? is there any other tools i need to remove and install longer wheel studs. or should i leave it to a profession. ive installed stuff like springs and motor mounts etc. but i dontwant to mess with brake stuff if i dont have to.

What kind of lug nuts do you have? Once when I was faced with this problem with shoulder & washer-style nuts, I just found some with a longer shank that properly engaged the stud threads.
