Just traded off my 97 Probe GT for my beautiful 2003 Neptune GT. I love the car, love the style, just wanted to give praise to a good board!

As well, congratulations and welcome to the board. Did you get the 2-tone or monotone GT?

I too have joined the clan of Vibe owners as of today. I have surveyed this site a bit. I anticipate enjoying the Vibe very much. Acquired a regular Vibe with Power and Safety and Security packages and alloy wheels. Decided on a 5 speed for additional driving fun. I live in a rural area so traffic is normally not a major issue. Vibes are certainly in short supply here in Ontario and the dealers absolutely stonewll the idea of a discount, which I found very annoying. By the way, older folks still like to drive too! I am a senior in some places (not in others) but I'm not dead yet. Fun is not the exclusive domain of the under 30 crowd. Will be watching for helpful tips and ideas and would be somewhat interested if a club were to emerge. regards to all from Canada.

Heh definitely had to go with the monotone, nothing against the other look, but personally I like montone Already have my first problem though My cigerette lighter is messed up. I cant get it out. Its stuck in there. When I try to pry it out the whole cigerette lighter housing wants to come out. Hopefully its no big deal. Also went and got an estimate on window tint, $260 bucks going to have to save for that heh.

Thanks for the welcome! Have now driven a few hundred kilometers and very much enjoyed the car. Have to get used to a standard shift again. It has been many years. Glad to know Canadians are active on this site too. Look forward to touching base from time to time.

I'm pretty confident that you will enjoy this configuration. It is essentially the same as mine. Moves out well and is very nimble. Have fun and indeed best of luck!

I forgot to mention...no power either............The salesman told me that there is no vehicle out there, that was equipt the way I was wanted,or,at least, nearly wanted.I went web shopping and saw several vehicles that I would have liked ,and mentioned this to the salesman. He told me that the vehicles listed on the pontiac site are vehicles that are not updated,so,in fact ,those cars maybe already sold.I called a dealer in New Jersey about five minutes ago,and ,am now waiting to see if that vehicle is in stock........the one that would be better equipt.........I let you know..........

I don't know how far you are from Schenectady NY, but the dealers around here a a dozen or so, Vibes in stock. Try Wedekind at (518) 374-4167 or Otto at (518) 869-5000. They both are very good, and good prices, with a huge selection. Don't settle for something that is a compromise from what you want, you will regret it every time you get in the car.
