roof rack cross members

Did the earlier Vibes come with the cross members on the roof rack? I have an 05 and I had to buy them. I was wondering because I would say about 90% of all the Vibes I've seen here in Arizona have the cross members. I can't see nearly everyone that buys a Vibe shelling out over a hundred large for something they might not even use.

Not only not use them, but have to listen to the wind noise caused by them. I have found that if you leave them in the most rearward position it greatly reduces the noise.Wouldn't a "hundred large" be $100,000?

I like them too. So you're not alone. Just not a fan of the "no crossbar" look with the sides still on there, but that's just my 2 cents.

RWL?WSW?I do like the crossbar look, but removed them because it makes it easier to wax (and more importantly, remove snow!)At some point, I'll get them back up there...

I figured it out...Good thing...otherwise I was going to say something like:RWL: Rotating Wide Load - or - Rapid Waveform Lasing - or - Raving Whiner LobotomizationI saw a car the other day with WSW that also had a yellow line - I'm not sure what that acronym would be. I don't remember the car though because I was so shocked to see those tires.

I personally would have to agree with the crossbar look, it looks so much better than 2 metal rails hanging out there for no reason.

Yeah, "100 large" is typically 100,000.00 unless $100.00 is alot to you.

I purchased crossbars from PhillyVibeGT for my '05 AWD a little while ago and I just put them on last week. I love the look and will get good use out of them. I don't really notice any wind noise from them either. I think that the Vibe would look best either with the side rails and crossbars or no rails and crossbars with caps. I have always thought just the rails looks kind of odd.
