Looks great! I have eyeballing some purple ones on Ebay but wasn't sure of the quality enough to pay about the same price for heads and fogs.

The only thing I'd be worried about is being ticketed by the jack@ss cops here for having xenon's otherwise I was contemplating getting them. Btw, what did they do with the daytime running lights? Just disable them?

It's not an issue of disliking the DRLs. YOU NEED to disable them. The reduced voltage output of the DRL mode can fry your ballasts. You should do that sooner than later...if you didn't already fry them.

When you disable the DRL's does it also kill the auto turn on for the head lights?

No one has found a workaround that kills only DRL and not TS.I personally have become accustomed to driving with full headlights at all times and, in the spring, plan to rewire the heads to go on and off with the ignition.

damn, i want to disable the DRL, but want just the headlights to trun on automaticly, not those signal light to turn on auto.

HID is supposed to be white. What color temperature did you buy?Quote »do i need to put this back on when i have my HID?YES. That keeps water from getting inside the headlight assembly. That rubber there keeps EVERYTHING out of the lens. You also stand the chance of permanent condensation in the lens without that on.The Vibe uses H4's in the headlamps. That's it. Color temperature (8000k) is personal preference.

the reason i can't put on that thing that protect from water is cause the wires and the caps is blocking it. here's some pic. Is there any other wy i can protec the bulbs?

Run the wires through it. It's doable. Both Jahntassa and I replaced that cap after installing HIDs.

He didn't say no, and actually, I rec'd a PM from one of his partners offering the deal. I don't see why it wouldn't work, so long as you ordered either H4 or 9003, right?Stock wiring should be the same...

Hey ragingfish,Quote, originally posted by ragingfish »I personally have become accustomed to driving with full headlights at all times and, in the spring, plan to rewire the heads to go on and off with the ignition.Don't rewire, just pop off the cap to the sensor and place something like black tape or something in the plastic cap. I did that and have lights 24/7. Then if you ever want to change it back, just tape the tape off from inside the cap.Dave

All getting a 9006 bulb would do would change the shape or size of the bulb not the brightness or color.

6000k is white, but why the pic from matrix owner has 6000k and the bulb is 9006? i don't get it. Is it the bulb affect the color or the temp?

The temp affects the color. The bulb just affects the shape and size of the glass tube itself.

ah that's what i thought. ok, now i put the thing that protec from rains, but will the bulbs produce gases cloge up inside the headlamp?

Is it the bulb affect the color or the temp? The car in the picture isn't a matrix first of all it's probably a corolla which has different bulb sizes. And just like photos often do, the color is probably a bit off. It is also possible that the person who made the photo mislabeled 8500k HID's since that is what they look like to me as well. Most 8500k lights I have seen are whitish blue, but not pure white and 6000k is basically "pure" white.EDIT: Lol this time I got the late postNo, the gases are contained within the bulb itself and should not leak into the headlight compartment unless they are cracked somehow and if they were they probably wouldn't light correctly anyway. Also, the gas is transluscent so even if it did get into the main assembly of the headlight you wouldn't be able to tell.
