Coming to work this morning: came around a corner to a road that merges to 1 lane, delivery van in the other lane, punched it to pass the van, tach climbs 4000, 5000, 6000, 6200 and *cough* *cough* no lift, instead the "check engine" light comes on and the engine bogs.So, I'm now off to the shop to sit in the waiting area. This really bites 'cause if it major I need it fixed right away. I'm supposed to be driving for a group trip up north to camp in the snow (yes, nuts, I know). Two different people said to check the gas cap: if it is loose it can cause an error which will cause the light to come on...which I thought weird. But that doesn't seem to be the problem.ON ANOTHER NOTE...well, nevermind, I'll just keep that secret for now.

Oh come ON! You can't do that to us! I am trying to waste my entire Friday here on Genvibe.com, so I need more posts to keep me occupied!

Hmm..my first instinct was a broken lift bolt, but I suspect that's not it if the MIL was triggered as well...Any word yet?

Yup. The mechanic was perplexed, but apparently there is a TPB (?) out for the part. The Rocker Arm Actuator went kaput. I hope its not serious because I lgot a long trip to take this weekend and the shop had to order parts and it won't be fixed until next weekend.How do I find out about these TPB before something breaks?

See if they'll give you a printout of the TSB to post here...would be curious to see it, sounds like one we weren't aware of.
