DOnt have any pictures yet because Im still routing wires. Installed the pro-fit mount, very easy installation, with the easy swivel, which I think I may take off, not sure yet. Hooked yellow wire from GMAB 12 wire harness to the constant 12v blue wire(may have a white stripe, I dont remember) going into radio plug, plugged everything in, and Voila! It works with the CD/AUX button with the dip switches set in the posistions that the instructions say to use for a GM Class 2 radio; switchs 1,3,and 8 to on, all others off. Sounds just like a crystal clear radio station. It does seem that the input volume could be a little higher, but I dont want to max out the volume on the XM receiver, thank goodness I have the amp. You can also set the Aux2Car to an XM mode, switches 2,3,and 8 on, all others off. That setting makes the BAND button cycle though FM1, FM2, AM, XM1, and XM2. I didnt leave it in that posistion, but will mess with it a little. It did however, when I had it in this posistion, when it would go to XM1 or XM2, it would eventually revert back to saying D1 T1. SO not sure if there will be any sound clarity differences.I did not notice any of the clicking and whirring that others have had with their AUXBOX, maybe they got the bugs worked out of it.No matter the posistion of the dip switches, that radio now has the little symbol right next to the single CD on the display when you have a cd in the player, showing what would be the equivalent of having a changer hooked up.I will get some pics after I get it all hooked up and put back together.

Just wanted to check to see what year car you have? I have the Aux box and experience the clicking. Maybe they worked on it, got the kinks out and renamed it. Have you listened to the radio with the power on the XM unit turned off to see if the noise is there. I didn't notice it until there was no sound coming from XM. I would hope that PAC would admit to correcting a subpar product and exchange faulty units. Tom

I have a 2004 with amp and 6 speakers. I did listen with the XM receiver off, and no noise. I dont think the Aux2car is a PAC unit anymore, it says Peripheral on the box?

Coolio! Good work! The clicking & whirring that others have experienced may be dependent on where the yellow power wire was connected. For those with the noise, you might want to check and see if it's connected to the same place kcinmi put it.

I will open dash to check and see what power supply I have it hooked up to. I hope it ends up being my mistake and quiet listening will soon be mine.Tom

I did notice a sort of white noise, but you can only hear it after I shut the car off. You can only hear it if the car is off, the doors are shut, and you listen for it. And when I say the car is off, I mean the key is off and out too, it stops after about 10 seconds. I think its because the aux2car is hooked up to 12v constant. And it continues to send out a signal for a predertermined amount of time. So...like I said, its not even noticeable unless there is absolutely no other ambient noise, if a mouse farted..it would cover the noise up.

That sounds like the amp. Mine does (did) that too. The factory unit didn't ground the outputs to the amp in the 03, 04 models. This noise is then amplified through the amp. If you turn on the clock while the car is off, it will make the same noise until the clock disappears. At least that is how the factory stereo worked in my car.

Exactly, press any button on the radio with the car off and key out, I get that hissing. BUt like I said, its very minimal. How did yuou fix it?

After reading this thread I ordered the equipment, just got done installing it.I've had this Plug and Play Sirius receiver for 6 months and it has a built in FM transmitter. It plays pretty good, but the constant background hissing that is unavoidable with FM transmitters, was driving me crazy. I never new of this item until I stumbled across this thread.I ordered the - PAC AUX2CAR Interface (also needed PAC AB-GM12 wiring harness). I set it for the Class 2 switch settings for my Vibe (switches 1, 3, 8 ON.. all others off).Now my CD/AUX button on my radio toggles between the single cd player, and this AUX2CAR unit, so my Sirius Radio comes through nice and clear. The best way to tell was to switch stations on Sirius. The 1 or 2 seconds between stations yielded a steady hissing sound before.. now, it's nice and quiet !!I REALLY like this option because now I can even hook up my old boom box if I want to listen to an audiobook that I only have on cassette. Box has rca out and we all know the Vibe has a nice handy outlet Anyway, just wanted to provide another success story in case anyone else is searching through these forums looking for RCA input options.BTW, my Vibe is a 2004 with the Moon and Tunes Package

are you sure, since i saw this:* Pontiac Bonneville 2000-2005 o *Note:* If radio has CD/Aux button, set Aux2Car / iPod2Car dip switches to GM XM mode, else set switches to GM Class 2 mode.
