Finally!

It's been two months of cruising around like a maniac and I finally got to put some smack-down last night. And, to make it better, my wife was in the car and she didn't even know. I pulled up along side a sporty Ion (not the red-line, but the 4dr coupe, latest style) at a light. Coming off the light we teased each other for a few dozen yards, he put it down and surged ahead, I dropped back into 1st, hit the lift, pulled even with him, popped up to second, RPM climbed, hit the lift and I was GONE. Popped into 3rd, caught up with traffic and eased off. It was fun.Wife is yelling "cut it out! you'll get a ticket! Every time you [hit lift], my stomach turns over! blah blah blah..." made it even more enjoyable.

cmon, fill us in on what you paraphrased out!! what does she call lift???

I wish...Nothing interesting actually, something along the lines of "THAT" or "That thing" or "don't you know how to shift right?" or "I feel ill" but no matter what, she's holding for dear life onto the oh-jesus bar and it always makes me smile.

Yeah, but usually only in my GT (or behind her back). That's my turf and I can't catch grief for that . Anywhere else and I get it back with interest

Sounds like my wife..I kindly reminder she is a passenger in my vehicle and I'll be more than happy to let her out.....I wish. I try not to drive my Vibe with the wife in it if possible she spoils the fun all the time. Good kill though!!
