Dim Headlight

Has anyone had trouble with one dim headlight. The problem seems to be that the bright and dim on passenger side are coming on simutainously and making for a dim light as its robbing power from one side or the other. Its only happening on the passenger side . I've changed bulbs to no avail. Any ideas? I'm guessing switchs are fine as drivers side works fine. Is there a relay box for the headlights that anyone might know of or would DRL box going bad make this a problem? Any help would be appreciated.

It's hard to tell just by looking which beams are on...because the capsule is hidden behind that center shield, it makes it very had to tell which beams are on, short of looking at the reflections off the walls. That being said, if you're sure that both beams are coming on, my guess would be a wiring issue, and your best bet is to let the dealer handle it...

I'm a 12 volt installer by trade. I tested the plug to the lights and found both bright and dim are showing on or around between 6 and 10 volts and it varies. I'm assuming both are powering up but since neither is recieving the full 12 volts that they are appearing dim. I'm suspecting a bad relay so mewhere but not sure if there is a relay box somewhere. Guess I need to follow wires back a lil further.

Keep in mind that this car uses some sort of negative switching system...I can't remember exactly how it works (Jahntassa could better explain it), but essentially, there's always +12, and somehow the car switches the grounding to engage/disengage high and low...

Got it... Turns out it was a corroded fuse in the box under the hood. Found the relay in the meantime and its good so who knows... anyway their working now. I understand the negative triggering system though I didnt know they were negative triggered. Good info. Thanks. Awesome site btw
