So I'm heading up to Minneapolis/St. Paul for the weekend, so I wanted to wait until I leave townto get gas--this morning on my way to work my little 'gas' light came on, and that got me wondering. How many miles/gallons do I have left after that light comes on? Does anyone know?

I think I've got about 2gal left when the ligt comes on. For me that's 40-60 miles (depending on how often I hit the Lift!). But I don't know the "official" amount.

Mine usually comes on with about 1.5 Gal. left.

Mine is close to 1.5 gallons.

Hey thanks guys. At least I know I will make it to the gas station tonight! This was the first time the light has come on since I got the car, so I didn't know how much time I had! Thanks a lot.

well when My lil 'Hey Stupid' light comes on and I filler up I usually get a full 11 gallons so I'm guessing i've got fumes!

Mine consistently lights up ~300 miles... I have a roughly a gallon or two left at that point.

It seams to vary but, I know I can drive for awhile till I run out of gas

The light can be a bit pessmistic sometimes! I was pretty freaked out at one point in time, scared to death that I was going to be out of gas in the middle of nowhere... Still had a gallon left. I don't get to see the light in all its glory too often... Usually will fill up around 1/2. With gas prices the way they are, I like buying in small quantities. Spend the same amount of money in the long run, but not all at once.
