Yeah, it's been a lot of fun with almost no tread on my tires! At least I'm not one of those 150 people that have wrecked so far! It's ridiculous around here.

Could be worse, the east coast is looking at three snow storms in the next seven days.

That's one of the reasons why I just shelled out nearly $600 for Khumo Ectsa ASX's on all fours (tires/balancing/install/hazard wty blah blah blah) Severely balding shoulders was the other...I guess 15k miles on a set of Nankang NS-II's with a 320 treadwear rating isn't that bad.

Close enough to enjoy the view - yet far enough to avoid the fires/mudslides. I know no place is completely safe. All of So. Cal. is in danger of the next big quake...and that's why I checked the geological maps before I bought my house - to make sure it was on granite and not prone to liquefaction. You can't be 100% safe, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to mitigate the risk. What I find hard to believe is that the news says we still haven't recovered from the drought. Yet all the dams are over flowing.

Rain again today! By the end of this weekend, we should have enough rain to make this the second-wettest season on record (since records have been kept). This is what L.A. Times wrote before today's rain: As of Thursday night, 34.51 inches of rain had fallen on downtown Los Angeles since July 1, making this the third-rainiest season on record. The second-rainiest season was 1889-90, when 34.84 inches fell. The rainiest was 1883-84, with 38.18 inches.Meteorologists say there's a good chance that this season, which ends June 30, could end up as the wettest ever.

One of the hotel guys in Vegas was saying it had been raining so much there to lately and that it was the wetest time he could remember for a while. Thankfully Hope and myself experienced sunshine while we were there for 3 days cause it would have sucked to walk the strip in rain.

Ha, that must suck! I've noticed that it's one extreme or the other out there, either it doesn't rain or it rains like hell.

Rain again today! We now officially are in the 2nd rainiest season ever known for L.A. Today's rain pushed the seasonal total to 35.77 inches, surpassing the 34.84 inches that fell in the rain season of 1889-1890.Since records began in 1877, the wettest season downtown was in 1883-1884, when 38.18 inches fell. Personally, I hope we beat that before June 30th.

Yep, got poured on last night! Went to Mira Mesa to a Foci meet that some Matrices/Vibes supposedly show up to and got dumped on all the way home. It started raining while we were there so we left right after all the Foci and right before everyone else got there apparently. 1 Matrix stuck around and said some others came shortly after we left. Guess they stood around in the rain! Wife wasn't having that! Had to con her into telling her I was taking her to dinner just so I could go!
