I was driving down the interstate last night and saw something flying at my windshield, so I swerved. I heard a big thud! on the roof of the car. So I got off at the next exit to look over any potential damage--I got out of the car and there was a duck hung in the luggage rack. YUCK!!!!!!No damage done to the car--but I can't say the same for the duck......

Well, at least you received a tenderized duck dinner for free...

Ahh thats nothing...I was in PA and i was driving down some uneven road in the middle of the night. When i was coming down from a hill i saw something moving in front of me on the road, it kinda looked like a black bag.I swerved to the left so that it would go under my car and and when i got over it i heard a "thud".Then suddenly and stong smell of rotten onions filled the cabin, i pulled over cause i was about to die. The smell was so overwhelming i couldnt stand it.It turns out that the "thud" happened to be a skunk.The next day i looked under my car and it seemed to have sprayed the interior of my rim and my muffler.It took me a month a 2 bottles of Fabreeze to get it out... and my car still smells funny.So long new car smell....

We will call you Pepe now.....

I ran over a whole family of raccoons while driving my mom's grand am. It was late, on a winding country road... I was only doing 90 so it wasn't that fast. But I came around a corner and thud, thud thud... I think I killed 3 of the 5. They were having some kind of group huddle in the middle of my lane! I couldn't avoid them.

I like to spray ravens with gravel. Ya know, the brave ones that stay on shoulder when you fly by. I just head for them with my two right sides in the gravel. Then I put the car in a slight drift and tromp on the gas. Rocks are spraying everywhere, on a good day you can hit one while he is trying to fly away…..dumb bird.

I agree that having a bird hit your car may be one of the funniest things to ever happen, I had a small bird fly directly at my windshield on PA 119 a few years ago, it started out as a small dot and just got bigger until it hit my windshield dead center. I looked in my rearview and saw a ball of feathers flopping in the air before falling to the road. I had to pull over because my and my buddy were laughing so hard. To make matters worse, were were going about 75 MPH. There were feathers stuck to the windshield. I was very surprised it didn't crack the windshield.

Since we're drifting off course a little here anyway, let me add to the side wind: Some years ago my buddy and I were on a long drive and stopped for a break. He came across this big turtle he thought would make a great pet, so he loaded it into the back seat. A while later, the car started smelling kinda funky and we realized this reptile was RANK! Gord, always the impulsive sort, decided maybe this wasn't the pet for him after all, so he climbed over the seat, opened the left rear door and dropped old Tommy Turtle onto the road. Since I was airing the car out pretty well at about 80 MPH, he was in for a long slide ...until he took a bad bounce and went into the grill of an oncoming truck! We've always wondered what that trucker thought when he saw what had taken out his radiator...

You all suck hit poor animals! I try to avoid hitting any animal of any kind. If I do and have in the past I feel like crap the whole damn week. It really bothers me. I all ways think what if it was the mother and that means all her babies die. Oh well. I get no enjoyment out of hunting either even though it's a big deal for my family. I never understood killing a animal just to stuff it and be proud you killed a defensless animal. That's so pointless. I can see if you kill a animal to eat it but so many people don't go hunting for this reason.Ok I'm done I'm way off topic.

I didn't really mean that you all were trying to hit the animals or what not. I totally unerstand it can be unavoidable at times. It really bothers me when I have done it in the past.

I didnt mean to kill it, i didnt want my car to smell.... i thought it was a black bag and tried to avoid it, it just happened to be a skunk instead.It not like i drive around looking for little furry creatures of the woodland to run over, i dont wanna damage my front bumper

I cried when I ran over the raccoons. I hate it when animals are hurt.

For what it's worth, as I said, I was driving; I didn't have a lot of control over my buddy's actions. Also for what it's worth, he found out all there is to know about reincarnation about ten years back...

Let's all remember that people are more imporatant than animals... DONT SWERVE and try to miss an animal!!!! There is a good chance you'll loose control, hit another car or do something else just as bad... and still hit the animal. Hit the brakes and hope the thing gets out of the way!!!!Man, I'm gonna 'snif test' anything i purchase from LocDog!!!

I believe LocDog's reply was to the question about how my turtle-launching ex-friend found out about reincarnation, namely by dying a few years back.

Too bad your Vibe wasn't painted Orange.. Duck a l'orange? Since this is under humour, I presume it didn't really happen..
