I'm a little confused on the rear bumper replacement the bumper doesn't have the back up lights in the bumper, don't we need the back up lights, for most state laws!!! I notice however the street-graffiti kit does reuse the lights!!

Oh crap!!! I never even noticed that! I guess I will have to call them and find out about that. I planned on getting it, but this could be a problem unless you relocate them.

I'm on the phone with them right now....Ok, well, I just got off the phone with them and let's just say I am not too happy with what I heard. First off, they aren't even sure when then kit is going to be available or even for sure IF it is going to be available. From what he said, they are waiting for a demand, which I find kind of hard to get when the only place you can even see this is at an autoshow they go to, like the SDIAS, or their website or LMPerformance's website. Anyhow, about the reverse lights, he said when/if it comes into production (most likely mid-year), they will have incorporated the reverse lights. He said the one you see is just the model/show version, so they hadn't gotten them in yet. He said the kit will be in their new catalog due out next month, and, depending on how much interest they get, will determine if they decide to actually produce it. I told him how few other kits there are (uh, 2 if you count GM's!), and that I wanted to buy the rear bumper and top spoiler, and basically he told me to keep checking back and see what happens. Just so everyone knows.

Just to clarify a few things here "officially".First of all to clear up the back up lights. Yes the production bumper will retain the factory back up lights OR a styled type of back up light. Sometimes pre-production or show vehicles "delete" items that would otherwise get in the way of the design. (i.e. windshield squirters on hoods, back-up lights, fog lights, turn signals, antennas, etc)Secondly, the vibe body kit is still on schedule and right in production line to be produced. We added eleven new vehicles last year and it takes time to finish one car to go to the next. We have completed the Colorado, the Magnum, the Mustang, the F-150 and have completed the Vibe's Hood, both in fiberglass & Carbon Fiber and the Carbon fiber roof rail deletes all within four months. The Cobalt is next to be finished and then the Vibe will be started. Also all of our body kits are urethane which takes a bit more time to build closed molds for, unlike fiberglass. As far as our 2005 catalog goes, there will be quite a few parts in it that are not even available yet, both from us and from some of our vendors. This is called "marketing".Have questions about RK Sport or the products we sell?Contact me directly.Jim WrightVP of SalesRK Sport Inc.800-214-8030jwright@rksport.com

I didn't mean to create bad business for you guys, I was just passing on what I was told directly from the guy I was on the phone with not 2 minutes before I posted that. I want the rear bumper and top spoiler still and I was really hoping that they do come out as you are saying. Thanks a lot Jim for clearing this up! I look forward to getting those parts from you as soon as they come available. Please post on here when there is an official date they will be avilable for purchase.

Thanks for posting Jim. I still don't agree with marketing products that have yet to be produced, HOWEVER, if the intention is to produce them regardless of how many orders you may or have received, then OK My concern was that you list a product in your catalogue, but may not end up producing it until there's enough interest/orders from said catalogue or elsewhere. I hope that makes sense. Thanks again.
