2006 Vibe?

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the 2006 Vibe. Any major changes planned? I heard some rumblings that GM will be making things like Stabilitrak and OnStar standard on all vehicles within a few years...I figure it might be a little early to start talking about the 2006's. When do companies usually release info about the upcoming year's changes? Thanks!

Stabilitrak is only becoming standard on SUVs and vans...As for onstar, it won't be standard across the board until the end of 07, so I'd venture to say with a Vibe being entry-level, it won't be standard until the 07 or 08 MY. Just my speculation...

Couldn't the '04s and '05s have Onstar? Or is that just XM?

OnStar is way over rated. I had it in my Grand Prix and was rather annoying due to the yearly payments. If you want have safety and a lot of control over your car, just check out http://www.mobileiq.ca it gives you a lot of features at more than half the price. There are too many features to list or explain but it is real cool. I know the VP of this company and he gave me a demonstration in his car...amazing is the word. Just to give you an example, if you lend your car to someone you can set the gps tracker in mobile iq to page, sms or email you if driver of your car drives faster than the restriction you entered and you can go online and follow them in real time...there are more features to mention as I said before.BTW I am not affiliated to the company...I am just thinking of getting it myself as I am fed up with Onstar.Spyder

I noticed its a .ca domain - is it for Canadians only?

That MobileIQ is pretty nice, but it's Canadian only. Also doesn't seem to have two of the key features of onstar: Airbag Deployment Notification and Remote Diagnostics.I've never had OnStar until my dad got it in his G6. And I have to say I think it's pretty damn cool. I don't need the fancy features, such as the concierge, but I'd get it just to know that, if my airbags go off, someone knows, and they can do something about it, if I can't.Plus, the personal calling ability and remote door unlock, and ability to get directions if I'm lost, are all nice.

And.. "Holy crap, you mean I need to PAY for a service?" Duh. I might not pay for the OnStar service itself, but if I had it, I might've changed my mind. I'd most likely go with the new Verizon deal to have the cellphone active. That'd definitely be super-convenient.

Thanks for the feedback guys.I'm really hoping that the 2006 has a "Moons & Tunes" package in Canada. I just priced a 2005, and to add just a sunroof is 1100! Isn't that the price of the whole Moons & Tunes package in the States?!?Anyway, that's one of the reasons I was wondering when GM will release more info on the 2006 models. It'd be interesting to know the packages offered, upgrade options, etc. No one here works for NUMMI by any chance, eh?

I wouldn't expect an 06 info until at the EARLIEST summer...But if there are to be any major changes, that will delay the info further...Typically, September is when they start coming out...
