Is driver's side weatherstrip under warranty?

On another post - "Weatherstrip (especially around the driver's door opening where your coat would rub getting in) is subject to quick wear, and will be replaced under 3/36 warranty."Mine is "sliced". I thought it may have been caused by the door sometimes catching the seat belt buckle. Hard to remember to tuck that buckle inside everytime you leave the car.

My wife slams the buckle in the door almost every time she gets out! There are permanent indentions where she tried to shut it with the buckle in there.

mine was replaced under warrantysee http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=7907I figured it was my own fault, and didn't expect them to cover it, but I asked and they did. if they said it was due to abuse I would easily have accepted that

I would think that as long as they can't prove that it wasn't directly damaged from "customer negligence" then it should be replaced under warranty. As far as passengers leaving slack seatbelts...that's one of my pet peeves. All seatbelts must be returned to their tightened and upright position before anyone can leave the parking space. There's nothing more annoying that hearing a loose buckle clacking against the door!

Mine was done along with the window seal under warranty because of wind noise on the drivers side. It's quiet now.

Jake, mine have mini "slices" in each of the four doors. The "slits" are located on the bottom of the seals, it looks like the overlap some sort of seam. I chalked it off to a result of manufacturing, since it appears in the same spot on all four of my doors...
