Bring it back to dealer... its a known problem.. I think there is a TSB out on it ( maybe someone else can help with that info) But the dealer will replace the socket for you.... Hope this helps..

lighter???? these cars come with lighters???, mine is a power point, i don't think i've ever seen a matrix with a lighter.....oh that's right a used car came in for a cert. and it had one, it use to be a rental car.LOL, just kidding folks, have only seen one matrix while at the dealership with one.....

I never had that problem until about a month ago. Supposedly, there are two "wings" on the lighter that you can bend outward which keep it from yanking out. It's one of those things I have on my to-do list. Because, of course, my lighter didn't start pulling out until AFTER my warranty! I'll check it out tomm and let you know my findings...
