Does anyone know if I will have problems switching a Toyota Matrix double DIN stock radio with a Vibe Navigation system? I have looked many different places and have found many different answers... some say yes, some say no... has anyone tried it and did it work?

How are you switching?1 --> FROM a Matrix stock radio TO a Vibe Nav System?2 --> FROM a Vibe Nav system TO a Matrix stock radio? If #2, I can't see any problems as long as the stock radio is the '03, '04 Delphi stock radio. Just don't reconnect the smaller connector. If the '05 Matrix radio, I dunno. They switched to their own radio (not Delphi) and it may not have the Delphi connector. If #1, you'll have difficulty from an '03 or '04 Delphi radio. The Nav system requires inputs on the smaller connector that aren't wired to the stock radio. From an '05 Matrix stock, it may be near impossible; again I don't know the new Matrix radio connector.

I am trying to switch from the Matrix stock radio, i believe it says AC Delco on the back of the stero.... which would make since I guess... It has red lights to match the interior... not sure.... it looks just like the stock vibe ones though...

That's the '03 '04 radio, so it should just be difficult. The problem is the stock radio generally only connects with the 24-pin connector (except in Vibe Moon & Tunes or Onstar - forget which - the 12-pin has a mute control wire.) However, the nav system requires additional inputs on the 12-pin connector, like a speed signal. The big problem here is to find out what signals the nav system needs, where to splice into them from (if possible anywhere), taking the dash apart to run the wiring, getting a 12-pin connector and wiring it up.I suppose it's possible, but not without a service manual. I'll try to remember to look up the Nav 12-pin pinout when I get home. I assume this going into a Matrix, and not a Vibe?

Right, it is going in a Matrix, the specific item I am purchasing, or looking at purchasing is
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AITIt comes with a wire harness, and diagram, do you think i would need more than this? Is it going to be a real pain in the neck? I havent purchased it yet, have until 9pm EST, but it is really cheap...

Other than not being able to play a CD while the NAV disc is in, no, it looks fine. You don't really need the car's signals, it'll work off the GPS, it just loses the ability to 'dead reckon'. Which is tell where the car is if it loses GPS signal.
