GenVibe - Community for Pontiac Vibe Enthusiasts

Did anyone see the latest cover article for Car and Driver? It's a comparison of the Beetle, the Cooper Mini and the Vibe GT. They said a few disparaging things about the Vibe, however they lumped the Vibe with the ultra-hippest cars out there. I think the title of the article was "Be Smart, Have Fun, Save Money" and that's the focus of the three. I thought it great exposure for the Vibe, so that people won't see it as a wierd cross-over by Pontiac, but one of the most unique, coolest styled cars out there. Even better was the reason they didn't review the Matrix XRS: they said they thought it looked like (removed). Ok they didn't say that, but they said some pretty strong words, something about how it looked like it got misshapen by a giant magnet! Halarious and true. I have to say I came away feeling like, crap, my car is fricking cool!

The one thing I got out of that article is that the Beetle was turbocharged and the Mini was supercharged yet the Vibe GT was only .5 sec slower than both. Add the factory blower to the base Vibe or a turbo to the Vibe GT and it would kick their butts.
