Hello all! I've been reading some threads about meets in the states, and I think it's high time we have one here! I'm thinking summertime would be better, for obvious reasons, but I just want to get some discussion going on, so maybe we could bang out some possible dates. I'm assuming that Ottawa would be the best location, I'm only an hour and a half away, and I'd be willing to take a day off of work on a weekend to go down to meet you Ottawa genvibers. I'm not sure where in Ottawa we could meet, but does anyone know anybody from a GM dealer that would be willing to host it? Or, does anybody have any other locations in mind? I look forward to everyone's ideas!!! And of course, we'll invite anyone who wants to make the drive!

I kept trying to get people interested in an Ottawa type meet, but no takers. I was thinking Kingston would have been a good location because its 3 hours from MTL and 3 hours from TO, 2 hours from OTT...

Even better, that's under 7 hours for me!

And my hometown! LOVE Kingston... someday I will live there again...

Kingston is much better. I'm in if the date is right but I can't really plan anything right now anyway. Then again, why not Eganville?

Eganville.... I drove through there once. I still prefer Kingston. Nice waterfront on Lake Ontario. Has a Pontiac dealer (Condies) but not a big one.

I could see driving to kingston for a day if it was a weekend/sunday perhaps... I'm about 3 hours from Kingston, I can get to MTL in 5.5 hours stopping twice along the way.

I'm in for Kingston - give me a chance to get back and see the military museum! That and the KBC -- best beer I've ever had....Dragon's Breath IPA is good, but the Dragon's Breath Real Ale is simply amazing..... and don't even get me started on the food.... Well worth driving 6 hours for....

Oh yeah the Brew Pub (KBC)! My bf and I had our first date there.

So Mavrik, if you were to attend it would have to be before you move to the far North. When would that be?

Hmm... that probably won't work for me thats for sure. I have no plans to do anything until March at the earliest - I'm hibernation mode.

same here, we went from sunshine and -5 degrees this morning to 3 inches of snow and -13 by 4pm this afternoon. I'm curled up next to my titan space heater lol.

Yeah tomorrow's high is about -20. Who knows what the windchill will be, but by the time I get myself to work, my face will be frosted in frozen drool. Gotta love winter.

Welcome to the board there canadian bro If the meet is in May... perhaps we can combine like an Ontario/Quebec meet before I go cause I'll be back for my Vibe that month... exact date unknown. But thats all totally up to you guys, it will be the last meet I'll possibly ever get to unless a Vibe group pops up in Alaska and I'm meaning more then mine and Hopes lol.

would love to go, but it'd have to be before i fly down to drive up since i have very limited days off. especially w/ plans to stop for a day or 2 in calgary to visit carrie. can't afford any more unpaid time off... only need one unpaid worker in the house! Well, so far with only 3 or 4 people, looks like we're gonna have more of a coincidence than a meet! lol. Maybe as it gets closer, we can post a topic on a general page for everyone to see, maybe we can attract more Toronto Vibers with the Kingston location. I've never been to Kingston, but it sounds like a good drive to me! I don't think Eganville would be the right place for a meet, I think our generic car dealership won't have a used Vibe for another 4 years! lol. Well, everybody keep in touch, and if there are anymore ideas, leave a post!

Don't forget us Montreal Vibers it is not that far away for us to join you all.

Of course your included Sam, I think I did mention joint Ontario MTL meet for May. Though I do need to go to MTL before I move out for foe good. May have to travel Canadian side all the way and detour into MTL for a few.
