I wonder if this is all Pep-boys or just "participating" locations?

It says on page 1:Quote »Offer applies to purchases from Pep Boys and Pep Boys Express locations in the continental United States and Puerto Rico.I've been to two separate stores so far (for separate reasons) and both have the rebate apps. I'd assume it's all stores. They may not automatically give the form to you, you might have to ask for it at the register. But you gotta buy all your rebate stuff in one shot...you can't combine multiple receipts.

Yeah, they don't publicize the rebates, so if you don't see the forms on the counter, ask them for one!

I stand partially corrected...There are variations of this rebate program for some locations (including California). You can get downloadable forms here:

I'm horrible about rebates... I missed sending the one in for my Sirius receiver bought at BB... I think I've only had a couple of rebates where I remembered to send the stupid things in!!!

yep, mail-in rebates are the best marketing ploy ever. Usually less than 1/3 of the people who buy the item because of the rebate actually send it in, so it's the same as paying full price. It's typically only the best bargain shoppers (like ragingfish) who really take advantage of the savings. Good post, Mike!

Yeah, I hit a snag though.SOMEHOW, beyond my knowledge, they expect me to cut the UPC off of the bottle of techron! That stuff is EXPLOSIVE outside the bottle! I would NOT feel safe doing that...It's insanity...I can't believe they expect me to do that...I should call and make sure...

Mike, you could become a millionaire from this, but I want half for giving you the idea. Go ahead and do what they say, let the stuff blow up, pretend to have all kinds of injuries from it, then sue Pep Boys for the danger they exposed you to.BTW, what are you doing with Techron fuel additives anyway? Everyone I ever talked to has told me to never use such additives in a modern engine particularly if there is nothing wrong with it. Modern fuel formulations are generally good enough to prevent internal engine deposits anyhow. The only stuff I ever added to the fuel tank was some octane booster if I wanted to run the car for a little more fun or if I knew I'd be racing someone. I have yet to add anything to my Vibe's fuel, though.

Nova once told me I could dump a bottle of Techron in once per oil change to help keep her clean...A few bucks towards longevity seems to be a fair trade IMHO!
