i found a link on Fark.com where they are trying to get "whip it" by Devo played on TRL. contribute by clicking this link:
http://www.mtv.com/onair/trl/vote/use the fill in box at the bottom of the page to vote for "whip it" by devo!!

Mu-woo-hahaha! I like it bro. Tired of MTV, and their catering to all pop/r&b all the time. Alternative you say? No...MTV plays only alternatives for alternative.I voted as well. Too bad if we win, MTV will most likely throw it out anyways.

I voted too. Any reason why we picked Whip It by Devo? Is this an internet conspiracy or web-bomb type of thing? Or was it just picked at random and only has GenVibers participating?BTW---I was glad to vote, I agree with the other posters so far. I'd add my 2 cents worth on my thoughts on the current state of MTV, but I'd be banned for sure.

it started at fark.com. i dont know if it will work, but its worth a shot. i hate mtv a lot. i used to watch it all day when i was a wee lad. i remember the days of tom petty and u2 with nothing but music (except for remote control) and an occassional commercial.

I just did it...I HATE mtv..... full of crap and nonsense.....My cable company added mtv2 in the lineup and it is the SAME channel...

Well, I like MTV and Real World and Made and all the other non-musical stuff they show...but oddly enough I don't like TRL. Just because it's the same videos every single day. We've tried campaigns like this before to get an older video on the countdown, and sadly, it never has worked. The teenieboppers are a scary bunch, man...they got power. LOL
