Hola newbie!!I looked into getting the cladding painted. You are looking at a couple grand for a good job. Yeah, Earl Sheib (sp?) will do it for a few hundred but it will also fall off quickly. In order to have it work, the cladding needs to be baked to clean out any oils, then sanded, primed, and painted with a paint that has a flex additive so it will flex with the cladding. Trust me, get to like the cladding unless you want to dump a few G's into the painting. It would probably be cheaper to get them from GM.

Remember, AWD let's you start faster, but it doesn't help you stop any faster!

Welcome to the Encyclopedia of Vibe! We love pictures. Please post some when you get the chance!Regarding, why I didn't get AWD: There weren't any used AWD Vibes in my price range or in my general geographic area in February of '04. Central Indiana is much flatter and the roads are much straighter than WV however!

antilock brakes help you stopbut i guess 2wd guys dont need to worry about stopping since they wont be going anywhere hehewhy didnt i get a monotone model?because at 9,000$ color didnt come into play as much as saving 5,000$ on average used pricesits nothing special, totally stock, ill take some better pictures when i get around to it.I do intend to turbo or SC. While that probably wont happen for a year, it will happen.Vibe isnt a drag race car. I didnt buy it for that. I bought it cause its quick, which it is, but sometimes i have trouble hitting 100mph. Im not worried about that though. It goes as fast as i need it to, and i prefer technical driving to led foot. Much more fun hitting curves at 60mph that before i was chancing to take at 40.Immediate plans for the car, mostly suspension and brake upgrades. Might look into rear discs, dont want to lower the car so much but just improve over stock springs, stiffen it up a bit.In my eyes, being able to brake late and drive fast longer, is more important than straight line speed. I want to improve low end response however, which is why i want to force feed it. Other than exhaust CAI, chip, pulleys mabye, what else is there to benifit the low end?Hmm, i do have a couple pictures, ill attatch them.

Quote, originally posted by rAERRK »>it doesnt snow everywhere>who said it does?he was just trying to stand up for us awders because we are the slowest and have nothing more than the traction to gloat about. i guess if we wanted to race in the rain, we could probably give you 2wders some hell too. does it rain in savannah?

Also very true. Thank you Millster. By the way, hello and welcome to the site. Don't let one person's comment give you a bad feeling about the forum. This is a great place full of many great and helpful people.

Quote, originally posted by rAERRK »Maybe we wanted the fast model but thats not important, lets play nice.too bad we dont have an awd forum like MO. that way us w/awd could talk amongst ourselves without having the token chime in about how we are either slow or dont stop any better.that is all.

the picture i just took with high exposure...didnt use a tripod so i had to balance on the ground which took a few attempts (high exposure=blurry pictures if the camera isnt still)then i just ran a generic "fast fix" picture filter in paintshop pro...i formatted recently so i dont have any fonts, lol...
