Check this out. I got my steelies from then. Paid only $175 for the set. And their tire prices seem not too bad either.

I paid a pretty penny for my Nokian Hakkapeliitta 1 I bought 2 years ago @ ~$160/tire for 205/55/16. It's been worth every penny though. To be honest, it's a really bad time to shop for winter tires. It's mid-December and all the last minute buyers are desperately seeking a set. The shops know this and immediately hike up their prices compared to what they could sell them for, let's say, back in October. Also, inventory could be low too especially if you're looking for one of the more popular sized tires.Nonetheless, you could also check out one of our tire pricing discussion on matrixowners.com...

The lowest quote that I got for Dunlop M3's (205/55R16) was $165 plus tax. This price includes mounting.

I paid about $450 for a set of four Green Diamond tires...another $40 or so for mounting...but they've proven worthy in every condition but snow...Why not snow? Cause I haven't had any yet! If they're anything in snow like they are in rain, I'm convinced they were worth the money...
