Removing rear bench?

Ok. So stupid me. I had a toolbox in the cargo area that was open. I drove away, made a sharp turn, and whoops, it spilled all over. I had a MILLION little screws, nails, and doodads go everwhere. I KNOW some went under the rear bench seat, and some more went under the spare tire well, and some more under the narrow storage unit with the LATCH plates. How can i get under all these surfaces to get out the stuff that fell there? It's not the stuff i care about...but i have this gut feeling these screws and nails over time are gonna work their way down into someplace they shouldn't be. Please help! Thanks all!

Well, I know you can pull up the bottoms of the rear seats by removing the 4 bolts, 2 on each side that are easy to get at, right where the calf of your leg would be if sitting in the seat. I don't think the seat will come out completely, but you can then tilt the bottom up.

Tilt the bottom up is all I really need to do, but I wanted to be sure removing those bolts won't compromise the safety features of the seat?

You should replace the bolts after you're done the treasure hunt.

Umm i dunno about the safety of the seats.... But i took the two bottom parts of the rear bench out when i was trying to install my amp. It went back into place with no problems. You shouldnt have to worry about safety, ur not the one sittin in the back

Now that you mention it, I think I should take the WHOLE seat out, that'll take off a good amount of weight. And if I have any passengers, they can sit in the little recess underneath the former seat! Yes! It's PERFECT!

It came out amazingly easy! As did the rear storage bin. It was kinda tricky though...I had to remove the spare tire cover/storage bin first, as that interlocks with the rear bin. Bt i got under it! So, does anyone know what those wires under the seat, and the other ones under the rear storage go to? They come outta the sidewalls and then down into the floor. Very weird.
