I'm installing a remote starter on a 2004 Vibe. Is there a way to remove the bolster panel?

I assume you mean the lower cover of the steering column...If you turn the wheel so the pontiac arrow points right, you'll see a black screw. Remove it.Then turn the wheel with the arrow pointing left. Remove the right screw.Look under the column, to the right of the height adjustment lever, remove the third screw.Carefully disconnect the lower cover from the upper cover...you may need to unlock the height adjuster to get the cover out of the way.BE CAREFUL while installing that sterter not to trigger an SIR deployment. You would be wise to disable the system (IN ADDITION to removing the battery) while installing the system..Good luck, let us know if we can help further!

Yeah, no easy way to remove the bottom of the dash on the Vibe. Basically just work with taking the bottom of the steering column off is the easiest method.

Oh the bottom dash?Ha, good luck.Even WITH the service manual, removing the lower dash is insanity...you gotta take out the a pillar trims, the upper dash, and then the lower dash, which involves removing the hood release and all that stuff...Not worth your time...

Thanks for the help! I removed the lower cover of the steering column. All the wires where right out in the open then. COOL. The remote starter works great.
