In process of buying a vibe, want to know if buying accessories from dealer is good or get from aftermarket retailors. Ex: Front end cover...snowboard rack ect.

I can almost guarranty you it would be easier and cheaper to get them put on before you buy it than trying to buy and have them installed afterwards. Not positive, but I know it would be easier as it will be financed with the car instead of having to pay cash out of your pocket later for the parts and installation, not to mention the hassle of having to take it in and waiting for the work to get done!

In my experience with other vehicles if you look at after-market suppliers you will usually find the same or better items you are looking for. Then again if you love the product at the dlr and the quality seems good, go with it! Shop around compare prices too. Have fun with your car when you get it and welcome!

If you're getting the Pontiac front end cover as part of the purchase deal, try to talk them into installing it for free. It's not that they're impossible to install, it's just getting the stupid clips in place will darn near break your thumbs off. I'm sure there was a thread on that somewhere ... Anyway once you get the clips (snaps) installed in the wheel wells, everything else is easy.

I have a LeBra front end cover, and absolutely love it. I take the mask off, except for long trips, and keep the hood cover on all the time. It is a pain to take off/put on at first, but then gets pretty easy with practice.
