Why wait until Thanksgiving to get the ads to see what is going on sale the following day?
http://www.bf2004.net/Includes ads from CompUSA, RadioShack, Wal-Mart, KMart, Sears, Harbor Freight, Ace Hardware, CostCo, Walgreens, BestBuy, ToysRus, and others.

Not to rain (snow?) on your parade, Hope, but maybe it's different in Alaska. I've gotten to a Best Buy in my area one hour before opening, and the parking lot was already full and 100's of people were standing in line. 'Deals' for the first 25, 50, or 100 customers were long gone before I ever got to the front door. I did get a free CD sampler one year, and a stuffed Best-Buy price-tag toy another year.Same for Wal-Mart. I did have better luck at an OfficeMax one year. There were still 'specials' available 30 minutes AFTER opening.I don't chase the 'specials' anymore. Those people are C R A Z Y!

last year i got there right at 6am. got into the store, and by 6:30am was standing in line w/ my ticket to buy the $500 laptop. i stood in line for 5 hours!!! i was 3 hrs late to work but i called them at 7:30 pm to let them know. then everyone in the office had me pick stuff up for them since i had nothing better to do. LOL. this year we have the day off. but yes, i'm hoping the list is accurate for here so it gives me an idea of what i'm wanting and about what price range!

But this website is suggesting this:Quote »With this information, avoid the holiday rush and waking up before 5am to get that certain item. Simply go to the store before Thanksgiving, buy the item, then on Black Friday (November 26th) go into the store and price-match (buy and rebuy) your item back for the new advertised price.I never thought of doing this before, but it might be worth a try. Any thoughts?

If Best Buy puts the GameCube gift pack I got on sale next Friday, I may try to go pricematch it. But I doubt they will, because it's a sweet deal anyway -- $99.99 for the system itself, two controllers instead of one, and a $50 Mario Kart Double Dash game.

Just thought I would an addendum to this post, and my success at using the Black Friday website.I picked out the items I wanted from the pre-published ads, went to the stores before Thanksgiving and purchased them, and then on Black Friday went back to the stores and did the so-called price match on the items I had purchased earlier. Certainly, the customer service / return lines were much shorter than the check out lines, and I was able to get the items I wanted without any hassles or fights.I was able to get a TV, computer speakers, treadmill, flash card, USB drive, DVD player at Black Friday prices from Best Buy, WalMart, Dicks, Office Depot, Staples, CompUSA without ever waiting in any lines or facing any out-of-stock situations. All the stores mentioned honored their price match that Friday without any problems!

There are a few websites that get ahold of the ads. I just read an article about it in the newspaper a few days ago. I just dont go to the trouble of doing that. There is people that camp outside the stores or get there at midnight. Its crazy!

Yes. For example, clicking on the link in the first post will take you to the best site for the ads.
