Judging from the feedback of the seller, the buyer knew it was a scam and acted accordingly. Read the feedback left for the seller by the buyer.

That just goes to show that you need to read everything very carefully on the pages. You never know when somebody will try to do something like that. Buyer Beware!!

Yeah. That really sucks. Okay, 625 pounds/euros? That's way too much for a piece of paper.Inder

Just shows you should NEVER buy anything of high value on eBay, I do not. Nothing over $100 and I have never even done that. Cars, houses, electronic stuff, no way! I would mail myself to this dude and when he broke open the box, jump out and kick his (removed)!

That's why it's important to read a listing very carefully; things like that get listed all the time. I've bought electronic stuff on eBay before, but I don't think I'll do it anymore as I have had problems with everything I've bought. Now I buy it at Best Buy, pay the $20 more, and buy the $10 2-year replacement plan along with it. Much better in the long run.

I've purchased some electronic equipment from reliable eBay sellers...my HDTV, HT System, Xbox, MEX-HD1 head unit, both amps, both sets of Polk DB6750 components, my Unichip, and a few others. I haven't had a problem with any of them. Scratch that, my TV had a minor problem, but it was covered under warranty and I couldn't be happier with it (brand new 27" Samsung HDTV for $379 + s/h? hell yes I'm happy with it).But yes, you MUST do your research for any purchase, let alone the more expensive ones.
