Yup... we had one late yesterday afternoon about 4:30ish in downtown Dundas street Woodstock. Police were called when someone was seen on the roof with a gun. Cruisers closed off downtown and headed to the roof tops, took 3 teens and 1 adult into custody but released them sometime later. The paper this morning did not indicate if there was any shots fired though at karate class tonight one of the guys said there was two and that there was impact marks in the sidewalk. The sniper was a bad shot and got away...scary, I'm reminded of the Virgina Sniper last year.

oh ya.. i know which one you are talking about. don't remember the name of that book/story.however, we had a serial murderer/rapist back in the 70's here in anchorage. he's pick up hookers and then beat, rape, and take them out to his cabin in the kenai. then he'd hunt them down w/ a bow and arrow! what a sick @#)!

well only so much you can do. if they want to turn a trick, then they will.. but keep in mind, this was in the 70's/80's same time as bundy, green river killer, etc.... the nation as a whole was scared!

If my memory serves me correctly the book was The Most Dangerous Game".Isn't it ironic that this happened in "Woodstock". Of course it's not the original site of peace and love but you figured with the same name...
