Satellite radio placement

I just bought a Roady 2 because it has wireless FM transmission and I do not have to hard wire it into my Vibe. I travel with other cars sometimes and I want to take the Roady with me. It actually sounds pretty good. But, I'm having trouble figuring out where to mount it in the Vibe. There's not much room on the Vibe dash. Any ideas? Ralph

I used the vehicle specific mount sold at http://www.myradiostore.us/ also used the Bracketron PH-Mini 4also sold at the store to make the Roady removable from the car when parked. I installed a pig tail lighter adapter behind the dash to supply the power in a more discreet way. The 3 wires from the Roady slip under the radio trim (after removing just a little bit of plastic from the non visible side of trim). Tom

I used the same method. However, if you want a device to move from vehicle to vehicle, you probably should've gone with the SkiFi2, which also has an FM Modulator. The Roady's have been known to have their connectors deteriorate over time if moved a lot, as they're not really designed to be constantly disconnected.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Very interesting. This information helped me find a good web site with various mounts. http://www.myradiostore.us/mounts-brackets-tools/

I removed the button on the panel that does nothing and it left me with a flat surface. I mounted the Roady there with velcro. Here is a photo. Works nicely.

Doesn't interfere with the wipers at all?It does look really clean..that's for sure.

Doesn't interfere at all. It's the best place I could think of to mount the Roady. Please not that when sitting in the driver's seat, since you would be looking at the Roady from a slightly different angle than the straight shot photo, you would not see the extreme left side of the unit, but that has never interfered with changing stations or general use of the unit.
