alot of people have dash rattles, it is very common, especially when the temps get cold in the winter. In the summer I never have a rattle, but when the temps drop in the 30's or lower it rattles alot, I guess the plastics all stiffen up in colder temps

It might be the rings around the gauges. I had a squeeking sound where the plastic would rub.. Ended up pulling the plastic /w chrome off the dash (just pulls off) and putting a little piece of thin cardboard right in the center bottom to prevent the rubbing.

Thanks, this sounds easy enough to be worth trying.

I had my car at the dealer for the same problem. When I reved the engine above 4000rpm there would be a rattle from the dash. The tecnician at the dealer fixed it. The technicians report said "Tech cause: cowl screen loose - Tech comment: re & re rt side of cowl screen, shimmed & secured to corr noise. -Warrenty"So what ever the cowl screen is...was the cause in my car.Hope this helps!Spyder

I have a similar rattle on the left side of my vibe, but it only happenes when its below -10 Celcius. I think mine is comming from the area where the drivers door and dash meet. If I put my fingers down in there (very tight squeeze) the rattle stops immediatly. When I go for my 50k Maintenance I will get it and a few other minor problems addressed.

Ahh, I can't wait until we can get these rattles figured out! Unfortunately, mine sounds different than yours. But it *does* snap, crackle, and pop very close to the cowl area. None of the engine speed-related stuff going on, however.Mainly dependent on chassis flexing (rough roads, etc.) on my car.
