Racing in Metro Detroit

Does anyone know of / attend any street races in the Metro area? I don't want to race, I'm looking to do a documentary film. Races in the northern Metro area are preferable. Thanks in advance for any help.

Umm. People go to a part of Joy and Telegraph over by house and they race. I can decide if you wanna go there. They usually meet up at Joy and Telegraph and then cruise to Joy and Outer Drive, that's where they start the races.Inder

I heard about motorcycle racing over on 25mile and Gratiot on Wednesday nights. They would go to the Mt.Clemens car show every Wednesday and then head up to the spot. Though it's cold out now so most people will have their cars put away from winter I think. I want to find streetracing areas too so I can watch!

The downtown carshow is in the place I took you but the bike racing happens like 6 miles north of there. I haven't been there yet so I dunno how many people go. My friend said they have like bik freestyle comps and **** where they do cat walks and ****.
