My mom works for GE...she works for the Fleet car leasing branch though so I doubt she would know anything about the light bulbs....

Sort of like how my dad works for GM, but it has nothing to do with cars and everything to do with the military.Anyhow, Silverstars are made by Sylvania, which is also an excellent lightbulb company, so it's impossible to tell from the company's reputation how long their lightbulbs might last. The only thing someone can do is try it.

Sounds interesting. I tried looking around for info on these bulbs, found them mentioned in a few forums but nothing really intersting... So far, I've had several Silverstars, got "burned out" on them, so to speak. Tried some cheaper bulbs in Sylvania's product line, (xtravision) and found those didn't last that much longer.Right now, I have a set of standard GE bulbs in the headlights. Wish we had more info that we could dig up on the Nighthawk... Like Kari said, someone just needs to try 'em. Sure would be great if they were bright *and* actually had a reasonable life span...Anyone ran across these bulbs in the stores here in the States yet? I'm wondering where you could buy a set... AutoZone, Advance Auto, and Pep Boys around here seem to only carry Sylvania. Wal-Mart may have 'em, I've seen several of the newer GE bulbs (i.e. "suv" or whatever) sold there. I'll check into that...Still not certain I want to swap my bulbs out again... I've got a set in there now that may last for a while.

Will take a pic tonight when I go to the West End GTA meet in Mississauga. I honestly don't know if it is the same as a Silverstar, but they are brighter than the stock ones. will have to wait and see.

Price is the same as the Silverstars...they are brighter than the OEM bulbs but still not the same as the Silverstars. As far as durability, we will have to wait and see.
