Well its that month again where dentists get all excited about the approaching visits from dozens of kids. Personally I'm going to keep my eye on those brats because my street has a lot that just like to stand in the road and not even bother getting out of the way as you approach. I'm sure a few of those little snots might wanna take a crack at my car because I slow right down and blare my horn to get them off the road. A rev'd CAI engine scares them to... haha. But yeah I'll be out for that night I think, am I the only one not handing out candy? lol Last year no one rang the door bell so maybe this year will be the same... but probably not, the room mates might have a few kids over whoo hoo. haha so anywaywho has their decorations up yet?

I am not a real big fan of Halloween, never eally have been. I like the whole ghost stories and monster movie aspect of the holiday, but the rest I can do without. And besides most communities have limited trick-o-treating to like 4:00 in the afternoon. Where's the fun in that? I will probably carve a pumpkin, tradition in my household. Somebody down the street has these 8 foot tall inflatable ghosts in their yard, they look ridiclous. I will grab a pic of them later on today and post. My old boss was REALLY into Halloween, the whole company basically took the entire day off and we had a party. He would usually dress up in some over the top costume every year. Three years ago he came as a mobile. And then suspended himself from the 25 foot ceiling all day, only to be let down for bathroom breaks, lunch, and really important phone calls.

I stopped handing out candy a few years back. I got really mad at the whole situation. There I was handing candy out to kids from my street and neighborhhod (a few years ago there were very few kids, so you knew them all) and car load after car load after car load would pull into my driveway and onto my lawn and let out a ton of kids who didn't live in my neighborhood. Then these kids would come up to the door and ask if that was it or would want to go through the dish and pick out their favorite item. Their bags would be overflowing, it was unreal. The parents would sit in their cars and hollar at the kids to see if there were any of this kind of candy or that kind. And then, the kids wouldn't even say thank you and their parents had torn up your yard with their cars. If you yelled at the parents to get their cars off your yard, you would get cussed at or flipped off. Nice actions for kids to see. So, after talking to my neighbor, we decided to stop handing stuff out. I realized that for kids today, it isn't the excitement of dressing up and seeing what you get. Rather, they have this expectation that you owe them what they want. So I am one of the people who won't be doing anything this year.Oh, I used to decorate my office and get candy for my coworkers. Then a couple of them started complaining that I didn't have the exact candy they wanted. Needless to say, I stopped that as well. These people make more than I do, go buy your own stupid candy!!!!!!Sorry, I am just not a person who likes Halloween anymore.
