Hi Everybody, It looks like everybody is waiting for Dyno results before they order our exhaust systems. Since the SEMA show is next week, instead of waiting 3 more weeks to get this done, I'm looking for somebody in the Southern California area to bring their Matrix X or XR 2WD model in for a couple of quick runs. Anybody is welcome to attend, even if you're not planning to let us use your car. I'm looking to do this on Thursday or Friday afternoon anytime between 4 and 6 pm. Any interested parties please email me back at
georgemartindesign@juno.com or call to let me know if you can do it. Thanks again and in advance for all the help everyone George Martin George Martin Design

If I didn't live a couple thousand miles away, I'd be there in a heartbeat!

Is you deal still for the lower price ($350 vs $495) still good? Got any sound files of your exhaust on a Vibe? I'm interested but I don't want my Vibe to sound like a weed-wacker on nitrous.

Thanks Vibe Rater, I'll drop that guy a line.Scott, don't worry about the sound, there is absolutely nothing on the market for any import vehicle that sounds as good as this exhaust. I know you will love it. It was specifically designed to NOT sound like a ricer Honda , the sound of which I am vehemently opposed to and took great pains to avoid. It sounds more like a Ducati 996 than anything else. However, at the dyno run, I'll try to record it on my Jornada and make a file. I just don't know how to post it here, maybe you can tell me how to do it?By the way that price is good for a few more days until these are gone.George

Forgive me for being cynical but it's easy for you (the seller) to claim it sounds great. I doubt you would tell me it sounds bad since you are trying to sell them.No offence, but what sound good to some people might not be what I like. This is why I'd like to hear for myself before I shell out $350. I doubt I would get a full refund if I installed it and didn't like the sound. Please don't take this as an attack because I've heard nothing but good things about your system. Unfortunetely, what I haven't heard the actual exhaust sound itself (which is the most important thing to hear in my opinion).I wished I lived in the left coast because I'd be willing for the test. That way I could hear it on my own Vibe before buying it. Too bad I'm over here on the right coast. Thanks

Don't worry I'm not offended by your post, I'm offended by alll those crappy sounding systems out there. Don't trust what I tell you, either. Just tell me how to post a sound file here. By the way, you are correct, if you don't like the sound you will not get your money back If we don't get a Dyno run in this week, then everyone is out next week at the SEMA show so it will be quite a while before we can get that done. But I'm planning to be at the Irvine Toyota Matrix Meet this Sunday, so maybe I'll get a sound bite out there. George

Here are the GMD exhaust sound clips:

quote:We did some preliminary runs last night to get the baseline figures and see what each car would do. We got 8 or 9 front wheel hp and 8 more pounds of torque out of Nick's XRS, which, when compared to TRD and Borla's 13 flywheel hp figures look about the same. But we only did 4 runs per car so next week we'll have more time to really push it. When we tested Philip's XR we never got the VVT-i to kick in, so I think we tested it wrong. Hopefully we will have officials there from Toyota to help us at the next session. I'll try to give everybody a heads-up before it happens. Thanks! George Martin George Martin Design
