I thought about a Vibe.First it said it was a Hot Rod....wish it were, but noSecond it thought it was a convertable.....not unless it is a PT Cruiser. Therefore, I won.

http://y.20q.net/Well, not that smart; it didn't come close to my choice! After 30 questions, it had guessed a prism, a pipe (tobacco) and fireworks. My object was a pogo stick

I won. It took 28 questions to guess 'boomerang' I'm thinking a wooden Australian-outback type of object. It's apparently thinking a small toy.Quote »You were thinking of a boomerang. Is it pleasurable? You said Doubtful, I say Yes.Would you give it as a gift? You said Doubtful, I say Yes.Is it small? You said Irrelevant, I say Yes.Is it heavier than a pound of butter? You said Unknown, I say No.Is it commonly used? You said Maybe, I say No.Is it used in a sport? You said Doubtful, I say Yes.Can it affect you(cause an effect to you)? You said Irrelevant, I say Yes.Contradictions DetectedIt does not matter if our answers disagree, as over time the game will change its answers to reflect common knowledge. If you feel that the game is in error, the only way to fix it is to play again. Here's where it gets really weird:Quote »Uncommon Knowledge about a boomerangDoes it provide protection? I say Probably. Is it orange colored? I say Probably.Does it have a long tail? I say Probably. Is it made of plastic? I say Yes.Will it point out the right way? I say Probably.Does it live in large populations? I say Probably. Can it be trained to obey commands? I say Yes.Is it delicious? I say Probably. Is it printed? I say Probably.Do you find it in the sky? I say Yes.Is it an invertebrate? I say Probably. Is it farmed? I say Probably.Does it dig holes? I say Yes.Can it be heard? I say Yes.Is it a common farm animal? I say Probably. Is it originally from the Mediterranian? I say Probably.EDIT: I tried four more objects (animal, vegetable, and mineral, and unknown)It guessed one (shotgun), but missed habanero pepper (30 questions), anteater (25 questions) and quartz crystal (23 questions)Each time it missed, the uncommon knowledge section has totally off-the-wall responses!

Well, that was 20 minutes I'll never get back. It didn't guess any of mine: abalone, radiometer, doubling cube, Loch Ness monster, ebony. Only abalone was in the database, but the contradictions were wierd (ex., it said abalone wasn't shiny).

it gains knowlege by people's submissions. it only knows what you tell it. it also adjusts to peoples perceptions about the object, wether they be false or not! i say its a pretty impressive program

Yeah, it is very impressive. The author has been working on this project since 1988. And Radica just purchased the code for a handheld version of the game. It sells for like $15. I think I might get one just cause it might be fun to have around.
