Grand Rapids Area

I am from the east side of the state, but am currently at GVSU. I must say that I am suprised by the amount of Vibes around here, seems there are almost as many as near Detroit. However I have also noticed that most of the Vibes around here seem to be the cheaper models, with the grey plastic fenders, plastic wheel covers, and no sunroofs. I can't stand that cheap look, but to each his own I guess.I have not yet experienced a Grand Rapids winter, but I hoping the Vibe can handle it.

Welcome! The only down side about the Grand Rapids area...lake effect snow. It just depends on how much you get. If you get too much snow, not that many cars are good in it anyways. For moderate snowfall, the Vibe does just fine in my opinion.

Me and you are in the same boat Sh@dow for the fact that the Vibe is fun in the winter. I have a blast in it in the winter. I've mastered pullin into my driveway when there's snow outside my house. Gotta love the unpredictable Michigan weather. I'm down here by the Metro Airport. In a suburb called Dearborn Heights.Inder

Drifting is always fun....you usually get about 4 days worth after every snow storm becuase the detroit area seems to have about 6 snowplows for 3 counties.

hey, dont knock the two tone. Many (myself) think it adds another dimensia. Look at it this way, I dont have to worry about rust or stone chips on those areas!!!!Triton, I think I saw you the other day at Holt and S. Washington Roads. Dunno though, it looked black, dark tint and chromies.I was in my Altima though.

The reason i got two-tone was one, because of the paint issue, two because I think the mono-tones look like mini vans and three because only GTs came in mono-tone. I don't have moon and tunes either and the stereo sounds awsome. Although I have to agree, I do HATE hubcaps with a passion lol. Hub caps look cheap no matter how you look at them. If I would have gotten hub caps I would be driving with my steelies instead because I think steelies look way better than caps.Anyways, back to drifting, that's the only enjoyment I get out of winter. Everyone stores their cars and there arn't any shows until spring:( I like snowmobiling too but I don't have one, my grandparents do and they live in Houghton Lake sooo...

What color is it? I did see your Vibe in the Sparrow parking lot a few weeks ago.

I don't really like the look of two tone, but as long as the two tone is not combined with hubcaps, it doesnt look cheap. It just looks extremely cheap when combined with caps. I don't have to worry about rust in that area either....that part is plastic. I have the moon and tunes, but I upgraded the system. That was interesting to say the least, but it was well worth it.
