If my windows are fogged or wet with condensation, rolling them down and up does not clear them a t all. Does anyone know a fix for this?I can't find a previous thread related to this. Thanks,Steve Pretti

it works for me, have to do it every morning lately, clears the outside of the window. Haven't had a problem with water on the inside of the windows, not sure if it would help that or not.Maybe some adjustment of the window track and/or weatherstrip?

Is it supposed to clear the window of fog/condensation? I don't think I've ever owned a car that completly cleared the window before. The weather strip isn't a squegee afterall.

Is there a gap between your window and your weather strip? if so, theres the reason.

The weather strip isn't a squegee afterall. well, it (the weatherstrip) is more of a deflector to deflect most of the water and dirt away from the inside of the door. the vendor for the weatherstrip at our plant calls it a duststrip and depending on the door itself the weatherstrip will rest againts the glass on the outside. if it was tight to the glass that would make rolling the window down harder especialy on dry days. in some cases the gap between the outer and inner door skin at the window channel area varies and the weatherstrip will have small gaps, but like ebslopp said its not a squegee. hope this explains things.

It isn't a real inconvenience and I've not really thought about it much either.

I 've made a habit of using the weather strip as a squegee on previous cars, so now I just have to remember to carry a rag out to the car in th emorning to wipe down the windows I guess. Just checking if anyone else noticed this, thanks for the replies.

interesting. Mine works like a squeegee, just like all the other cars I have ever owned. I thought they were supposed to be that way, didn''t know I just got lucky

Mine will clear off some, but just a bit from the front of each window. The previous cars would clear off a little more. That came in pretty handy, but with my Vibe's windows being so loose, I didn't really expect that trick would work with my car...But like scherry2 said, it can't press too tightly against the glass or else it would cause problems...

No tint and the panels have never been off. I'll do the CD check at lunch time today.

SORY GUYS I WAS AWAYif you windows have been tinted check the inside rubber they jamb it down in the door along the bottom to get the tint in and i have seen them tear it right off it is a strip about 3/16 of an inch or the nick it when trimming.then cut it off to hide itif you have to adjust the glass there is a bolt on the door you can see without taking the panel offyou will have to take the panel off to adj. remove the bolt and add shimms behind it from the inside of the door 1/16 at a time unitl a piece of paper wants to almost tear rather then pull out when slipped between the door and glass on the outside

I wish I thought it was a problem so I could try it out.

no you have to shim both channels all it does is tip the glass a bit and force it out ward pushing on the outer weather striponly shim 1/16 at a time if you go more than nessasary it could bind the glass some tow truck drivers jamb wedges down the outside when they are unlocking doors for people and i have seen this actualy sread the door as well check that 2
