I need to get some touch up paint. I know where to find the paint code, but what is the part number for the actual bottle/pen/whatever of the touch up paint? This is needed for ordering from gmpartsdirect.com. My Vibe is Neptune Blue, but it would be good to list all the part numbers for the forum if someone knows them. Thanks! Also, has anyone compared the "real" GM paint to the stuff you can get from paintscratch.com?

I have a 2005 Moonstone. With 1200 miles. I need help finding touch up paint, since it is a new color. And I have a tiny chip by my driver's door handle. HELP! My last car was a Saturn. It didn't rust. Paintscratch.com lists the 2005 as having shadow as a color. Huumph. Not the same color.

I'm 99% positive moonstone is only a name change, and the actual colour is the same as shadow...

I wish it was the same, but it is not. It is a charcoal. It is definately a brown. It is 90u.

I'd say give the dealer your paint code and have them order a bottle for you... As long as you have the paint code, they should be able to find it for you.

I will try, I didn't originally have the paint code. Found it last night, with the info from you guys.the 90u. Amazing what you can put in a glove compartment in just 1000 miles. And it was pouring rain.I figured that maybe they wouldn't have them yet, based on others here experiences with new colors. But according to this site, Sherwin-Williams, it was used by GM in the 90s WA9787 , 90Uhttp://www.sherwin-automotive....r.cfmVery informative site. Tells you how to mix it and everything. And paintscratch.com has it right, they just didn't change the name. The code change between 2004 and 2005. the 2005 has the 90u code. Course I didn't know what that meant at the time. So if the dealer can't get it, before my little nick starts to rust, I will order from them.

Was searching the web."Hi guys, Can someone please give me the correct paint code for the Graycladding on a 92 ty, my ID sticker is fadded and I can't read it. Alsoshould the cladding be clear coated?Kevin, the Gray cladding paint color is GM part # 12345039. Code 90, Gray(M), WA 8798. It is not clear coated". Great, now I know what color my car is. Cladding color. Only with metallic added. Just with clear coat on top. It is not the same, since the metallic is added, mine is WA 9787, but Cladding color? Eeechh, Moonstone sounds much better.

the dealer can also give you your colour code by giving them your VIN number off the window.
