It does sound too good to be true. Sounds very similar to the "chips" for the maiir air flow sensor. If you decide to give it a shot, please post the results. I am too poor to buy something I am not 95%+ sure about.

Without a really detailed picture, i'd say it's just a "variable" version of the resistor myth. Probably more trouble than anything else.

This looks exactly like the "chips" you put on the O2 sensor to run more rich.The only difference with this one, it is this one is variable. Instead of putting a fix resistance, they put a variable resistance, so you can "select" you boost.
