Michigan tint...need a place that does GOOD work

Post by Merzbow »

I'm considering tint soon, maybe this spring...ALot fo my friends have tint and some of them are good, some are OK, and others arn't that great...Buying tint makes me nervous because it costs alot of money and it isn't really permanant. Before I blow $200-$250 on tint I want to check out a few places and see what kind of warentees they have. If anyone around Michigan knows of any tinting places within an hour's drive frmo Mt. Clemens that are REALLY good or have good warentee plans please give me the shop's name and I will pay them a visit and see what's up. Thanks By the way, I am aware this topic has been asked before, but looking through the responses, no one really had a definate decision.

AutoAmeristar. I'm sure there is one next to your house. Or Eclipse Tinting. They do the best job. That's the place I would recommend. I went to some ghetto place in Dearborn. If you want, we can take it up there too.Inder

XDC on 9 mile and Gratiot did my buddy's civic. It's sweet. They offer any kinda tint you could think of. They're a little on the expensive side though...

Yeah. I paid $200 for a decent job. If you want the best in the metropolitan area, go to Eclipse Tinting. They might also do price matches. So, yeah. See what you wanna do.Inder

I had all 5 of mine done at Tint King in Lansing. $160 and a lifetime warranty against bubbles and peeling. He works out of his house. I cant say he did a fantastic job on mine, I do have alot of bubbles, although they arent noticeable unless you get right up to it and look for them, but he'll replace anything that bubbles up. As far as getting good coverage on the windows, he did a spot on job there. If you get a ticket for your tint, he'll take it off so you can get the ticket taken care of and then put it back on for just the price of materials. So, probably not the best quality, but lifetime warranty you cant beat.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

You should get the new RAINBOW tint. It looks like regular tint until light shines on it, it reflects rainbow colors. . I would highly recommend those. And I also heard from a very reliable source that they do add about 20hp at the wheels. Inder

I have had 5 of my own cars tinted at different places and the best place to deal with as far as quality and customer service was Notorious tintz In livonia. There price was good, they do an amazing job, and have a warenty program where if you get pulled over for your front windows being tinted they take the tint off so you can fix your ticket, then they put it back on. Any questions let me know
