Hey Everyone! Rising Son, my brother's roots/reggae band, has finally finished their website: http://www.risingsonmusic.com (a bit unpolished, but it gets the job done!)I had booked a few shows for them down in the L.A. area earlier in the year, and tried to help from a management perspective, but took a backseat due to some personal issues and things I needed to focus on i.e. I was spreading myself too thin. I love their music, rythims, and more importantly, their message. I have been waiting for this day to share it with you all. Please take a listen to these sample tracks and let me know what you think:(please right-click and "save target as")OceansBrand NewLovelyDisclaimer: all lyrics and music copyrighted property of L.Williams/ Rising Son.All rights reserved 2003For those who know the reggae/roots scene, they've opened for Barrington Levy, Steel Pulse, and Mikey Dredd, among many other underground legends. They've played venues in central and SoCali since 2000. Please take a listen and let me know what you think!

I just listened to the music and have to say I LOVE it. Reggae is one of most favorite forms of music out there. I wish I lived closer to where your brother's band plays, I would love hear them live. And they have opened for Barrington Levy, Steel Pulse, and Mike Dredd? I am about to fall out of my chair here.Your brother's band has serious talent. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

Wow, thanks for the compliements - and a big thanks for checking them out, Adrienne! The clips you heard were actually of rough, UNFINISHED peices, so you can only imagine how their debut CD will sound. The CD's done, now they're just working on the art. Maybe I can arrange a way to get CD's to those GVC members that want one? I'll find out and let you know.Oh, I forgot to give you a link to "The Message", another track on their site. I missed it because it's at the top of the home page, not under the "music" link. Feel free to pass on the word, and also sign their guestbook PS Their live performances are truly unbelievable. I wish you lived closer too

"Communication" is probably their best work IMHO - I hope the attachment works. It's a WMA, so I hope you can open it.EDIT: Well I guess it's too big, oh well

*Bumping for publicity's sake* Anyone in the SoCal/Ventura area (eg Wicked) should check out Rising Son. They play The Drink in Ventura about every other Thursday night (reggae night). We need your support!
