I am glad I only have to pay 2 of the 3 (or 1 of the 3 if I drive 2.5 miles north and buy gas in Lake Country, or at the Delta Sonic which matches the Lake County prices)... but I still paid $4.12 a gallon even then. (But it was awesome because the pump stopped at exactly $44.00... I love when that happens)

the Sinclair in town just went up to 3.90... Means we will be following suit. I WILL be waiting to fill until I get to town where I have class, always at least .10 cheaper. It doesn't add up to a lot, but when it's so much, now every penny counts

Everywhere I drove past on my way to work this morning was above $1.30/L ($4.93/US Gallon). I've already noticed I'm flooring it less, and I'm a few cents away from considering all-out hypermiling.

Well, all the stations that were at 4.12 are now up to $4.28... and I'm seeing $4.35 at most other places, out in the burbs (I'd hate to see what it looks like in the city). Anyone in IL remember what the actual peak was out here last time the gas went really high? I'm curious how close we are (I didn't have a car last time this happened, so I didn't pay that much attention).

I did a quick search today and was reading CNN and various topics over the last 30+ days in the link below:http://topics.cnn.com/topics/gas_pricesThere was speculation on the radio gas will hit $6.00 a gallon this summer.... *shrugs shoulders*

That would suck. That means instead of the $39 I spent today that it would be $60+ to fill up my Mazda3 @ 28.4MPG!! I've been driving very conservitavly lately... driving for mileage to see if I could get back to what it was BEFORE all the oxygenated fuels (E10.) I finally achieved that in the last 3 weeks, but it's a boring way to drive. $6.00/gal would be adding insult to injury.

Gas went DOWN a dime today, the boss is selling his 3.89 fuel for 3.79 so he can fill his storage tanks with a huge load of cheap(er) stuff which will also be 3.79. Bad news for the guy down the street who can't unload his 3.98 for anything.

I put about 9.5 gallons of premium in my GT before leaving Decorah today. It was $3.95/gallon. That's a few cents cheaper than what it is at right now in Cedar Falls. It isn't cheap but dang, I feel bad for you guys that are already over $4/gallon. I'm not looking forward to it reaching that price in my area but it really is only a matter of time. It looks like I won't be doing very much recreational driving this summer.

@ HawaiiPontiacLoverI get bored a lot and end up driving around for fun. I do a good job of staying in my area but I can still burn through a lot of gas; especially when I make multiple cuts through town. As fun as it is, it's getting to be a pricey past-time.
