BlueCrush, where did you get those RSL rims?? Are they discontinued or something? I can find them anywhere. I like those. I'm thinking either those or TSW Thruxton (black/polished lip) rims.

Yeah, they were discontinued a while ago. But they keep popping up on ebay once in a while.Do searches for:RS Limited WheelsRS Limited RimsRSL WheelsRSL RimsThere have been a lot of white w/silver lip on there. But last month there was a 17" and 18" silver Senso's just like mine. It made me sad. Good Luck and be patient. They'll be on there sometime.

new vibe owner looking to replace wheels

I just recently bought a hardly used 2003 base Vibe 5-spd manual. I just recently replaced the stock deck with a nice (but not costly) Alpine head unit. Now I'm looking to get new wheels because the hubcaps on the stock wheels "clack" as I drive and they look cheap.Any ideas on 16x7 with a 38-45 offset that are nice, simple and relatively cheap? Thanks.PS - genvibe is an incredible site. Now that I own a Vibe, I know what it's like. A passing Vibe driver waved at me the other day.

Lots of great looking wheels on all those Vibes! I wanted a different look without spending a ton of cash so I picked up some Scion tC wheels and tires on Ebay. I like 'em! PlatinumVibe08

Put 17" Borbet Type CA (38mm offset) wheels with a 225/50 Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum tires on my 08. So far so good. Not lowered. Don't mind the mini SUV look. Tires are quiet.

PlatinumVibe08: I like 'em! ...enough to imitate you if you don't mind. Hey, it's the sincerest form of flattery. The odds of us running into each other (other than on GenVibe) are pretty slim. So you (our?) uniqueness will be preserved.

I think it would be very cool to spot another Platinum Vibe with tC wheels.I see that you're into Fox Body 'Stangs. I like the Mustang too and actually replaced my '03 GT Convertible with the Vibe.Did you get the Scion tC wheels? If so, lets see some pics.Greg (PlatinumVibe08)

OK, since the unseasonably warm weather here has allowed me to remove my winter tires a couple months early, I figured I would post up the details of my normal driving tire/rim combo.Rims: ADR J-cross, 7x17", 40mm offsetTires: Yokohama AVID V4S, 225/55/17I went with the taller profile for comfort, and the side benefit is that it eats up a bit of wheel gap. I didn't want to lower the car as I would have to raise it again in the winter when my steelies go back on. Having only a month with the new rubber, I have to say that they handle very well. Today I went to do some spring skiiing and ripping up the mountain roads there was good hold and when they did break loose on one corner, it did so predictably and hooked up again nice and smooth.

They were on special right now through the end of March. They were on a buy 3 get 1 free program. I paid $108 per wheel, they were just about $350 with tax. Since I got them from a local shop, they didnt charge me shipping either. So far I am very happy with the look of them! Glad you all agree!

Cheap Canadian Tire Sacchi S2 16x7 Alloy WheelsTo replace the ugly rusty stock wheels. They are advertised as Winter wheels but frankly they are quite nice enough for summer Last year I was experiencing some annoying vibration in the steering over 90Km/h and it turned out it was the difference of diameter of the alloy wheels versus the bore of the Vibe.Aftermarket wheel are made to fit a huge number of vehicle having different bore size so adapters are necessary in some cases.Last weekend I went back to CT to have them put back and this time I asked about the hub-centric ring adapter and they indeed found the right ones for the Vibe. I dont Know why they did not even suggest them last year...They adapt from 54.mm1 to 72mm and made of Alloy.http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST...s.jspThe best $8.99 I ever invested I don't get any vibration anymore and I tested up to 120 km...

My new wheels: F7 Sport Edition (TireRack.com house brand) 16x7.5. The center cap (from a 2003 Montana aluminum wheel) needs a little help staying in so I used one wrap of friction tape (what hockey players use on their sticks) around the center cap and they fit perfect. I'm thinking they will stay in just fine. I happened to have four of these center caps laying around so that's what I used. I believe the silver version would look better. I have less than $400 into four of these including center caps, lug nuts, deep socket, and shipping. I wanted to avoid a ten-hole wheel which is getting harder to do in this price range. I bought aftermarket (ordered Orange #TO33011 but got ORO-TEK #OTI-001A) TPMS sensors on eBay for $160 for four. The tires are stock size 205/55/16 Michelin Primacy MXV4 which I chose for their balance of performance and wear. They were $550 for four after $70 rebate. So for just under $1100 I was able to buy a nice looking set of wheels and a great set of tires and didn't have to live without the TPMS although it was tempting. I'll continue to use my Cooper snow tires on the stock wheels in the winter. The picture is not flattering but in real life they look good.

Yes they are really close to the TRD wheels that come on the Matrix XR. They are a very nice "factory looking" wheel. Very clean design.
