quote:Ok, I was up this morning at 4 AM talking to a guy who is in my other League that lives in Olso, Norway. He said you get points for each category and they all add up at the end of the week. The week runs from Monday-Sunday nights.I believe this is how is goes:1. For each category you win, you get 2 points. 2. For each category you tie, you get 1 point.3. For each category you lose, you get 0 points.Remember, there is no negative points like in Football (THANK GOD) and not all your players play each night, you have to bench the ones that are not playing an play the ones that are. That means your goalie will not play all nights either. Actually the way H2H Hockey goes is you get a Win, Loss, or Tie for every stat. For the whole week your stats add up, if you have the most Penality Minutes or Goals or whatever you get 1 win if you have less than your opponent then you get a loss, if you tie you get a tie. The best you can hope for is 15-0. And the points are just how you said it. And I think that the points are what they use to position you in whatever place you are in. Operates kinda like games back in baseball I believe. The questions will be answered on Monday when the matchups are complete.

ok, i'm completely lost on how the scoring goes. so yesterday i lose 7-4 and today i'm behind 6-5, but the first two days i was ahead 7-2 and 7-3 or something. how am i losing 6-4? this makes no sense!

Scoring is by category and is tracked rotisserie (sp?) for the week. If I have 1 more goal than you, I am up 1-0 if all other categories are tied. If tomorrow, your club scores 2 goals and I score 0, then your club is up 1-0 (again, if all other categories are tied).Scoring is kept all week, then after games are done on Sunday, your matchup is converted to points for league standings, a category win is worth 2 pts. and a category tie is worth 1 pt. Hope this helps.

Fantasy Football is over, so now it is time to concentrate on Hockey. It looks like Salsa and Triton haven't been too active. Time to step up boys.Looks like Silverawd has a sizable lead. Is there time to catch him, or do we have to wait until the post season to take him down?

I picked up some good players and now I'm in 4th just a couple points away from Zamboni Guy. The best thing to do (if you don't have the time) is setup your players for the whole week at one time. If you need help finding some good players, ask silverawd26 or anyone else.If my goaltenders do well tonight I should capped silver for the week.

For some reason my team has started to tank hardcore. Now I just found out that my second best player is out for the season. My guys better get their head out of their (removed) or I am trading them all and opening a figure skating school.

my problem seems to be my goal tenders. i get a good one then they go on the injured list. now, i have some decent ones, but none too spectacular. my wonderkind from nowhere, mikoff, is out on IR. not a good time for that.

In general, I support an active league with tradings, and such. But, in this case we are talking about 2 top ten players (Naslund and Alfredsson) for 1 top ten player (Shanny) and junk that you can pick up in the free agent market. Plus, I seriously doubt that Heatley returns this year.I don't see anyway this improves Salsa's club.

I have posted a message in the league message board about the trade. I want to get some talks going to try and solve this thing with the minimum amout of hurt feelings. I guess my suggestion would be another deal between Salsa and BigBen to try and correct the lopsidedness of the first deal. Besides letting the deal stand the way it is a second trade would be the most fair thing to do. Let me know your opinion, pereferably in the hockey league. I apologize for not paying as much attention as I should have.

well, i for one don't think it's quite fair.... maybe one of them, but both? and for such crappy players? it's a struggle getting my team up and going and then have someone stack theirs makes it impossible to even get into the play offs. i'm not against trades, but just doesn't seem fair to have both of the best players in the NHL go to just one person.... especially for 4 mediocre ones including and IR! just a little LOPSIDED......

Ok, the trade is completed...Frist of all, I propose this trade to Salsa, and he accepted it. I'm surprised as well he accepted. I thought he was going to deal something else with me.If the Commissoner told me to give back player to Salsa, I'll do it.I can also propose another trade to Salsa. Is trading Alfredson for Shanahan will make the deal more fair and will be approved by the commissoner?

As far as Shannahan for Alfredson, where I come from that is called a wash. Won't solve a thing, just trading names. The new deal is marginally better. You are still looking at Naslund (#1) for Kaberle (#156) and Shannahan (#11). Not sure how many people have been in fantasy leagues before, but it has been my experience that if you are going for a #1 player you have to bring out the big guns to get them. In my opinion as a fantasy player, not as the commish I think that the new deal should be Alfredson for O'Neill. That way you are looking at Naslund for Kaberle, Shannahan, and Heatley, who is a big risk because he may or may not be back to his old self when he returns.
