quote:Auto only. Wow. That sux. Wonder why that is. The SC for the Matrix is for both transmissions. I wonder what the difference is? /QUOTE]The difference is that GM cares about the massive wheel hop problem that occurs with the 5 speed manual and the Supercharger, Toyota doesn't (which is why they released the SC for both). GM is currently working on new suspension bushings that will eliminate the wheel hop problems. They are working on it, and it will be released for the Base 5 speed soon enough. Don't go thinking GM doesn't care about their 5-speedersAlso, the reason the GM SC took a little while longer was because they use different ECMs. GM had to make different adjustments to their ECM programs than toyota did.BLEH! I went to Bocherding Pontiac here in Cincinnati and the Parts guy called GM Performance parts to ask why the 5 speed engine code version wasn't showing up. We didn't get any more detail than "not available at this time". Well, if it's not available by the spring, I'll be looking for a Subaru dealer that will take this slow thing on trade for a nice WRX wagon...

The Vibe and Matrix are the same engine, trasnmission, and just aobut everything else except for exterior styling and the computer. Why do Toyota and GM need to have different computers? Doesn't the SC come with a new computer module? Seems like you could use the TRD manual trans SC on a vibe. Would probably end the engine warranty though.

I doubt it work with the Vibe becuase it's a different ECU than the Matrix. I'd guess the delay has to do with emissions. It's not easy to take a car, add FI and still have it meet emission standards.
