It is tough to call at this point. In the West, if Dallas gets Turco and Guerin back for the playoffs, I like them to win.In the East, who knows? If the Eagle plays well, Toronto can get to the finals.Stay tuned...

Boy did the Lightning screw up landing any decent trades. Right when I thought we had turned the corner and was starting put things together. Hey at least we aren't dreadful to watch this year.

Ya, the Lightning are doing too good. Last year, my men's league team got Clymer to come out for the end of our spring session (a few guys on my team played with him). But this year, the Lightning will likely make the playoffs, so the timing probably won't allow him to make it in time for our playoffs. We'll do all right anyway, but it is always nice to have an NHL'er on the roster...

The Wild did their part to help the Wings get the conference lead by downing the much hated Dallas Stars last night. 4 goals on Tugnutt in the 1st by the pesky hometown club held up for the big W.

Well I just received my autographed (Darcy Tucker) hockey jersey via UPS from member Atwork. It's a perfect fit. I'm not sure if I should put it behind glass and hang it on the wall or put it on my back and show it off. Thanks genvibe member (Atwork) for the smooth transaction. Go Wings!

You've gotta put a signed jersey in a case. Or, you might have the same fate as one of the the mullet guys in the Bud commercials with the signed Bruins jacket (waitress spills water on it).

It will be a good test for the Wings tp face one of the top teams in the Western Conference then the top team in the Eastern Conference. As far as going against St. Louis, the will do that next Saturday and then again on the following Saturday. Both games are in St. Louis. Maybe they will start Chris Osgood in those games against the Wings. Here is a Wings schedule for you to take a look at:

Wings are looking really good. They should be able to take out Pittsburgh with no problems I hope. With the way the Wings have been scoring, and the way Joseph has been standing on his head, they should get another win.

Wild 4, Wings 0. Shutout in the State of Hockey. I'm not expecting the Wild to take down the Wings at the rematch Tuesday, but it was a nice home victory. And, it claims the Wild's first playoff appearance.

quote:Yeah, we played like crap last night and Legace should of not of gotten that penalty. Bad game all the way around.Kind of a strange call. Normally they call that when it is real obvious that the puck went out directly, but oh well. All the bounces went the Wild's way. I suspect the Wings will play a bit better in the rematch tomorrow night.

Doh!! Wings even it up against the Wild with the reverse score from Sunday. Taking down the defending champs 2 games in a row is too much to ask.

I don't like when they play games back to back nights like that. Just seems a little ridiculous to push that hard one night after you just played a division rival. They really looked flat on Sunday, but looked awesome last night. GO WINGS!!!

I agree with your comments. I'm not big on back to back games.Last night was a testament to how good the Wings are, because I don't think the Wild played that bad last night (especially Roloson, he kept the score from getting out of hand). The Wings were just that good.

I place my vote for John Torterella ask coach of the year!!!! He made the unthinkable happen. The Lightning are playoff bound and the second best club since the all-star break behind the Red Wings. I'll say that is a good start for our young over acheivers.

Torterella has done a great job and will certainly get a bunch of votes for coach of the year. Jacques Lemaire should get a lot of consideration, too. He has guided a 3rd year franchise to the playoffs with young players and no high profile free agents. And, no offense to the East Coasters here, but the West is a much tougher conference than the East.

How about some college hockey talk?UM vs UM on April 10th. Gophers vs Wolverines in a rematch of last year's semifinal. Should be pretty good. The Wolverines are playing well, and the Gophers are peaking just at the right time.I'll take the homer pick and go with the Gophers. I imagine all the Michigan faithful will pick the Wolverines.

The Blues destroyed the Canucks last night. Not surprising that the Blues won, but that the Canucks played so poorly.I suspect a lot of the higher seeds got their wakeup call. I'm sure the Wings will do alright.

Giguere set the saves record, making 20 stops in the first overtime. Was just reading that no goalie had faced 20 shots in an extra period since the NHL expanded during the 1967-68 season. Detroit lost the first two games of the playoffs last season at home to Vancouver before winning the next four, and later its 10th Stanley Cup. Go Wings!

Is it going to be a repeat of 2002 playoffs? Wings down 2-0 to an inferior team and then run the table. The big difference is that Giguire is much better than Cloutier. Stay tuned...

What a great day it was for me. My 15th wedding anniversary and on our way home from a Red Lobster dinner I asked the wife if we could stop at the Menards (home super center) grand opening. While we was there I had my picture taken with the greatest all-around hockey player in history plus an autograph booklet. What a night it was.

I do have one question. How can Toronto blast their goal tender for losing their last overtime game? The guy was on fire. He faced 3 games worth of shots and only gave up three goals!!!!!! Statistically he should have given up 6-7 goals that night. They should be blasting their defense for giving up soooo many shot and their offense for not creating more opportunites. Another reason why I want the Toronto Fig leafs to loose. Their fans are morons. Get on the wrong guy when he gives a great performance. He can't shoot the puck and his defense sucks. Another thing will a Flyer please decapitate Darsey Tucker for all of the Lightning fans. We would appreciate it.

That was one of the best, frustrating, heart stoping, and longest games I've sat down and watched. Hats off to both goalies. Olie the goalie can't fault himself for yesterdays lost. That was trully a battle between two great goalies. The Bulin Wall looked like a steel curtain yesterday. 60 freakin saves and only gave up 1 goal!!!! The CRAPS had like 30 scoring chances and only 1 goal to show for it?!?! is that humanly possible? If you want to see how fast a team can grow up in the playoffs, watch the games in this series again. they went from looking like deers in the headlights to winning 4 in a row. I was impressed. To answer you hope I wish the Wild the best in pushing the series to 7 games and pulling off the upset. I think this is the year of the young teams growing up and making themselves heard. Now we have the damn devils. Get ready for a low scoring series. Go Lightning
