Have you considered a Jeep Commander? A co worker has one and I fit comfortably in the back seat. (I'm 6"2").

Same engine as the 350Z I was looking at, excellent interior and exterior, very roomy and I can get a carry over for low-mid $20k's if I wait till december the salesman said (which would leave plenty of leway $ for wheels and suspension setup). I went and drove one and it felt great, very smooth acceleration and the interior is not what I'd expect from a Nissan, very nice inside. This looks like the perfect ride to start putting money aside for.

I never have liked the Murano, but for some reason that one looks pretty sweet! I think it was always the "up high" that bugged me, down low like that really looks MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better! It looks more like it belongs to be down lower, not up so high... Defeats the purpose of an SUV but it certainly is a real looker though. Hey, looks like you just found what you were looking for, does it not?

I agree when I first saw the Murano I hated how they looked at the ride hight bt I was on bulletproof looking for a part for a friends Evo and I saw Murano's and there and was like hmm, and when I saw it lowered I saw how one should look. but today I had to go Boo...women, gotta compromise. She likes theFX over the Murano. I think the FX is over priced. Before I 100% decide what would best suite us(yea I gotta make her happy if I wanna stay with her..I'm whipped) I also looked at the option of a used caddy CTS. They seem very roomy as well, and as mentioned the Subi Legacy with custom seats. I still drool over the Subi Legacy I test drove blacked out with cold wheels/brembro's.

DOH! Just when we thought the coast was clear, just when it looked like you may be making progress toward coming up with a decision, whamo! Quote, originally posted by tangerine »women, gotta compromise. So ya gotta go buy some snazzy $49,700 FX45 or whatever (or maybe she'll let you slide with the stripped down, lowly $37K version) just to make her happy? I don't quite know what that is, but I have my doubts that such a thing should be considered a compromise! It sounds like you want to keep her happy, nothing wrong with that... But you shouldn't need a fancy car to do so. She should feel the same about you if you went out and bought a $1,000 beater or something $50,000, you shouldn't have to try to impress her with your ride - it's irrelevant in the big scheme of things man! It's nice to have nice, fancy things I'm sure... But you don't need those to be happy, or to survive. You'll get by just fine with less, I promise.

Well, I had to dump her because it became way too obvious over the weekend that she was nothing more than a gold digger and even tried getting money from my parents and that doesn't fly. I'm still keeping the same type of vehicle in mind none the less so I did go look at the new Subaru Legacy again to get a feel for them and while talking to my dad about the stiff seats and possibility of modding the car I didn't know there was a salesman behind me and he told me for comfort, safety, and performance as well as AWD that the car I would fall in love with is the Volvo S60R. I'd never seen/heard of this car before but wow...super comfortable and very nice powerband. They had a used one on the lot with low miles and priced at $26,800. Thats a rediculous depreciation hit someone took. It now really is a crazy toss up between the Murano:or the S60:
