Practice with a buddy...not in front of a mirror.Have a glass of water handy...no ice.Don't tell jokes unless you're really funny. I'm serious. State right at the start whether you'll take questions during the presentation (although, I suggest you don't, as you are just getting started at this kind of thing). If you don't know the answer to a question, say, "I don't have the answer for you, but I'll find out right after this presentation." And get the answer. Don't BS.Remember, you will be the smartest person in the room during your pitch, otherwise, you wouldn't be necessary. Show 'em that you're smart.Good Luck!

along with the um and uh dont say like a lot either...god that drives me nuts and talking to professionals they dont like that either. you also want to be looking at the people and make sure to look all around not just at one spot. remind your self to talk slow, because if you are at all nervous you will start to speed up

^^^^What all they said...(good advice). Talk to your audience, not at them (pretend your having a one-on-one conversation with a friend). Try to look and feel confident, glance around and look people in the eye when offered, and keep a little bit of a smile on your face (no smirks even if you are picturing them in their underware!). Actually, freaking out from the get-go is a great ice breaker -- these are all humans you're talking to, all with their own crazy, weird quirks. Just be yourself, toss in a little humor, and you'll be fine. The LAST thing you want to do is be robotic and monotonous. Definitely talk - and look - everyone in the eye, as if you're having a one on one conversation. Be friendly and honest, no games or facades (sp?).I honestly think you should go in there and wig out like Jerry Maguire

Double check those bottles. A great majority of them only improve octane rating by a .5 or something of that nature. From what I remember back in my boosty days those would boost the octane to about point whatever the bottle said, not a whole point.

unless you get your hands on torqo... a full bottle of that with regular turns your tank into a full tank of racing fuel.

here, the best octane we get is 90. next to that is 89. i use torco in my tank, it's about 104 octane that comes in a 32 oz bottle. i've been using 89 octane with about 10-12 oz of torco mixture, when the tank gets to about 1/4-1/3 full. not sure exactly what that will come out to, but i've noticed i get better response from my car as well as better fuel mileage. torco isn't cheap by any means. however, for my car to not explode. i have it set for 93 octane maps. if you can get some torco, i'd recommend that over any just octane booster. it's like adding crack to your gas tank!

so, you had your car mapped for an octane rating you can't get from the pump????can it be harmful if you don't use the torco and use lower octane fuel?(just asking, i know nothing about such things.)

phew..I'm glad that you guys walked away from that with nothing but a broken car. I've been hearing more and more about the crash reliability of these cars, and that makes me very happy as I cruise around with my wife and infant daughter on board. Best of luck in finding a good replacement!

Sorry to hear about the Vibe. Glad you both and the baby were OK! The Vibe has had a good reputation of holding up very well in most accidents.

Wow! That sucks..... but that is also fantastic that everyone is A-Ok. You can always replace the car, you can never replace your loved-ones.

I echo everyone else's sentiments - my condolences on the loss of your Vibe but the fact that mom, dad and baby are OK is what's really important.I originally bought my Vibe AWD because I wanted something safer than my last car for my long commute ('01 Ford Focus ZX3) and hearing so many stories similar to yours about the crashworthiness of the Vibe just validates my purchase more.

glad the 3 of you are ok.and don't get an 09 GT til we find out how good it handles crashes. besides, the previous gen GT's are faster

Wow, that's what it looked like hitting something at 55mph...the car doesn't look bad at all and you guys are alright. It's stuff like this that makes me love my vibe

That's soo unfortunate So far on this site, out of ALLLLL the wrecks, no one has been seriously hurt so I would definitely say these cars are VERY safe, especially seeing some of the roll-overs and stuff.On an interesting note, out of the top-ten cities with the safest drivers conducted by All State, four of the cities were in Michigan..judging by the way people drive and amount of accidents I see on a daily basis on the commute to work I have NO IDEA where they got their statistics! Your scenario would bbe one of them! I can't stand ignorant drivers I hope you all aren't too shaken up. Hopefully you get another Vibe
