I was in the Air Force for 14 until the draw down of the 90's. my field got hit for 80% reduction. I worked avionics on the F111 and F16. achieved E6 (TSgt)what's the difference between the Air Force and the Boy Scouts ?the Boy Scouts have adult supervison.

If you're willing to live near the military, there are plenty of government contractors that you can probably get a job with. They love ex-military. Start job shopping before you get out. You might want to consider staying in SD for a while with your wife. Getting that first job is the hardest. Let her get her degree and move later. I ended up staying in here in Virginia just because of the jobs that were available. We have lots of military here. I started out in sonar, and now work in navigation. A security clearance really helps. too. Good luck.
